Haye Vs Wlad

looks like it's on for July 2nd.

There has been rumours that the the camps are back together negotiating and the Haye has just tweeted..

'Does some well overdue Klit licking potentially being on the horizon be something you may be interested in....??? '

Obviously people wont believe it until they actually weigh in... but looks V promising (finally)

I assume the Chisora fight is still on. I would be very LOL if derek KO'ed wlad.

I would also find it very humorous; massively unlikely though.

I doubt he will.... SKY havent got any dates available with Amir vs McCloskey taking up the April budget.

I thought there was talk of him fighting in May?

There was talk of him fighting Adamek.. but it's quite a risky mandatory ahead of a huge unification fight... adamek is far better than chisora.

I would imagine Adamek will get step aside cash and Haye will just keep the July date... unless he fights a crabby non-title fight in May.

Oh, I meant David haye to fight in May.

Possibly against Chagaev or Povetkin?

Maybe.. But David doesnt really seem like the 'keep busy' kind of fighter.

Though currently boxrec have him fighting on the 21st of May

Seems to only fight once or twice a year. Maybe it's Wlad and out for him; win, lose or draw.

Doubt it.. lose he'll want a rematch.

Haye is talking absolute toilet about retiring. Boxers are the last people to know when they should retire.

I'll believe it when they are stood facing each other in a boxing ring and the opening bell sounds. Up until that (hypothetical) moment I shall give this subject the disdain that it deserves.

Lets hope all this accusation of one ducking the other is stopped. Boxers dont duck, its their managers/promotors who want to milk them for all their worth before risking all on the big fights for massive amounts of cash.

The BBC and Secondout are always behind everyone else with Boxing. Boxingscene is much better in my view; as is Eastside.

I'll remain very sceptical about this until the two of them are sat at a press conference, openly announcing a date and venue. Heard it all before, time and time again. And again. And again.

Lots of reports circultaing that it's back on, pending negotiations. But if they had it all sorted before and the only sticking point was Hayes disapproval of wlad taking chisora in the meantime, then presumably Haye has realised he has nowhere else to go and no credibilty if he doesnt take the fight so now seems willing to accept the chis situation and fight wlad anyway. In which case negotiations shouldnt be a problem if they just return to the original deal they were about to announce in january. As others say, wont believe it til theyre in the ring together, but I suspect haye has come to his senses and realised he's in a win win situation with wlad fighting del boy beforehand and, with no other crredible opponents around, decided to cut his losses and make it happen. Would be immense if we could finally get to see it.

If this does happen i'm running round the office or wherever i hear the news naked. Maybe smothered in oil.

TBH Wlad will probably make short work of Chisora, he'd have to be unlucky to pick up an injury. He should be fine for the Haye fight a couple of months later.

Hopeful it can be agreed. Haye says he's fighting in July regardless so i'm hopefully he'll have someone decent lined up if/when Wlad pulls out should they actually agree on the fight again for the 2nd July.

I hope it doesn't go ahead. I would want to go to it and on holiday July 2nd.

Watched the Haye interviewon BBC last night - he is still 100% determined to retire in October, yet believes he can fight both Wlad and Vitali before then. If he fights on 2nd of July that would leave only around 14 weeks until his birthday / retirement. I expect Haye to take more damage from Wlad than Wlad will against Chisora!
