Welcome to the 606ers

I'd like to say a big welcome to all the 606ers who have joined us, some have been here for a while and some have joined today, hopefully many more will follow.

It seems some of you have joined here under a different user name, I didn't know any of you very well on 606 so I've not much chance of recognizing who you are on here lol.

Anyway.....it's really lovely to have you with us.....thanks for joining

I'm sure the few, esteemed, members on the tennis forum that we already had will be very glad of your company.

I'm certainly willing to give this a try and have had some very useful information provided to me by the v2 team, so thanks for that.

I hope we have an alternative here.

Its virgin land right now for us tennis peeps, so fingers crossed and whatever else is crossable.

I think I know who you posted as on 606, I've read some of your articles, they're very good!

I hope you'll write some similar ones for us on here. You are more than welcome to copy and paste any of your old articles from 606 onto v2 should you wish to do so.
I think I mentioned this on 606 yesterday.......you may have missed my post.......I'm getting seriously confused as to what I've posted where, at the moment lol

Isn't it exciting that the tennis forum seems to be taking off over here..........and without the 3 minute rule it will be great for posting messages during a match, don't you agree?

Absolutely, that was what congested 606 when a slam was on, many posters repeating stuff which couldn't be edited either. Sometimes it was easier just to watch and let others do the newsflashes.

Another useful feature we have here is a facility that lets you know if another post has been made while you are typing a reply to a thread. Saves posts getting crossed.
It gives you the choice of editing your post before you send it, or you may not want to send it at all........clever or what?

It's been a marvellous day for the tennis forum.........we've just got to do the same with the horse racing forum now.

Yummy......I was thrilled when I saw you had joined our forum.......from what I have gathered, in my short time of being on 606 tennis was that you are a very popular poster on there.

Lol.....you're not thick yummy......a new forum does take a little while to get used to.

Hopefully the tennis section will grow and grow and a few more of your 606 mates will come over and join us.

Not since about 7-oo pm - they must have been before that 'cos
I was watching Emerdale at the time (Well SOMEBODY has to)

thats good, i changed the settings on your profile at about 6.30ish, so they should have stopped from now on.
However, you would of received e-mails until that time before i changed it.

One thing to watch for, there is an option on the bottom of each thread called 'watch this topic for replies'
Do not click it otherwise you will get those naughty e-mails lol
