Hows it goin troops!!

Just got my tickets for the Khan vs McCloskey fight and the travel has just been paid.

Can't wait for the 16th April lads, being Irish obviously I want to see an upset here but I am going to sit on the fence and just enjoy the night. As long as its a good fight with a few nailbiting moments I will be happy.

Anywhoo, is anyone else going and how do you see this one panning out.

Khan by late stoppage after an even few early rounds.

A concentrated body attack to break down a spirited, but ultimately outgunned McCloskey.

Yeah, I'm going. Can only really see a Khan win, but I'd go to any boxing event I can get people to watch. Should be a good atmosphere/night out in Manchester.

As you are Irish, aren't you more of an interested neutral, what with both fighters being British?

Nah mate, his website said sold out on Saturday so had to get them off ticketmaster.

I hope McCloskey can go the distance and do himself proud as he's 100% gent.

I love how the likes of Green Giant can assume this fight is going to be easy. Is this the basis of one bad night against Lauri?

If it is then we can talk about how Khan was coping before he stepped up a level. Prescott, Gomez etc anyone?

I think Khan will win by stoppage but this is more intriging that a fight with Peterson which was muted.

Have been to a few MEN shows and have enjoyed it, but after some consideration decided not to bother with this one. I'm sure you'll have a ball though, same to you Scott.

I think it will be a fairly competitive fight, but with Khan always handily ahead. McCloskley is game, has a decent punch and isn't a sitting duck, but compared to Khan he's lacking in the speed department, and from what I've seen of McCloskley he seems to struggle with anyone who boxes behind a stiff jab, which will almost certainly be Khan's game plan.

McCloskley to huff and puff all night, come forward and have some decent moments, but I think Khan will have too much speed and elusivness for him, taking a fairly comfortable win on the cards.

Khan moved up in weight and became a completly different fighter. McCloskey will be the same as his last fight. He hasnt shown me anything that would give the impression he can beat khan. Upset of the decade if he wins.

Which is why it would be great to see it live.

Wasnt having a go, I just think McCloskey is being wrote off a little harshly when he has a half decent chance.

From watching Khan he comes out quick the first 3-4 rounds and he can gas out easily towards the end.

To be honest, every Khan fight in the future is gonna be exciting due to the permenent thoughts of chinnyness.

Would love to see the upset of the decade as you say, but again, I see a UD for Khan.

Not in England, may be included with PPV.

McEwan is only other down atm, I think I heard about Scott Quigg too. It's Hatton/Khan/Golden Boy Promotions, struggling to think who else from Hatton's stable is available as Vassell wont be.
