Rooney ban is ridiculous. I know we English are a bit paranoid when it comes to UEFA but you can see why when these sort of decisions are made. Still think he should go to the finals though.

I am proposed all clubs have a small budget since the generation of money will not be as easy as in the European League just finished.

I dont see how anyone can complain tbh it was petulant behavior from someone who should know better by now.

I think the reason people are complaining is than the norm in international football is a one match ban that can be extended to two depending on the offence. Three is the rule in the PL but unusual in internationals.

Either way, it is an opportunity for someone to make their name. Sometimes things like this allow someone to make the breakthrough they may not have done otherwise.

But then again, I am an optimist!

I personally think they are a little high. Villa, Everton, QPR & Stoke should be £10 mill lighter. Just my opinion though...

I'v never related Ameobi at the Premiership but in the Championship he's a useful squad player. I'd feel for the guy if Newcastle shown him the door as his been nothing but loyal to the club and tries 100% it just he's a bit poo.

I think Newcastle could do with another Alan Shearer. Top class striker who will have the capabilities to get 20+ goals a season.

I think Pardew is hoping Ba will be that man but i just can't see it happening , I'm hoping we see some cash spent in January but can't see it happening unless Ashley clicks on that we need a 20 goal man but i can imagine his argument being

'We're in the top 10 and we're not here to win the premiership'

But we need a 20 goal a season striker to compete with the likes of Spurs/Fulham/Liverpool/Villa to push on to Europe.
