Hmmm don't know a massive amount about it, I have family in Melbourne so tend to support Victoria by default (and the fact the best bowler of all time used to play for them doesn't hurt ), but it's not something I follow regularly. I did go to see a Big Bash match last winter (I was over for the Ashes ) and was quite impressed by a couple of Victoria's young guns: James Pattinson bowled well, and Aaron Finch looked a good little player too.

Re: Aussie domestic cricket.
bit suprising that Stuart Clark is retiring from cricket, to become NSW'S new coach.

Re: Aussie domestic cricket.
its fairly logical if you think about it. clark's bowling style is similar to copeland and hazlewood's. with clark out of the international picture, what would be the point in blocking a youngster out of the side?cricketfan90 wrote:bit suprising that Stuart Clark is retiring from cricket, to become NSW'S new coach.
on rather sadder note, beau casson's career seems to be nearing its end, as he has suffered another heart related illness, shame as he was treated very poorly by cricket australia.
also seems as though hauritz's dodgy shoulder could finish him off as well. seeing as o'keefe in nsw's skipper this season, there was a high change hauritz would struggle to get into the side anyway.
finally, yes hilfenhaus does still play for tasmania.

Re: Aussie domestic cricket.
there's a guy called ryan carters who plays for victoria, he's a fine player. the best keeper in australia is chris hartley, but his batting isn't as good as guys like haddin, paine and wade.
wade is the most attacking batsman/keeper, but his technique isn't very tight.

Re: Aussie domestic cricket.
must admit i havent heard of Ryan Carters...Wasnt very impressed with wade in the t20's, paine is much better.

Re: Aussie domestic cricket.
wade's more attacking style is due to playing his home matches at the mcg, which is pretty flat. paine, for me, is the better player because he plays at the tougher home venue, the bellerive oval in tasmania.
