23lb 5oz Mirror Carp , dont fish for carp much and i could put this in the surprise catch thread as i was fishing for bream at the time .

That it is, but far from the most entertaining or exciting sea trout I have ever caught. Like so many larger fish it was relatively sedate and cruised around a bit. The most memorable sea-trout I have caught was just over half the size of that one.

A 10lb pike puts up a tremendous scrap. Great fun on a spinner or lure.
