As 2011 draws to a close it's time to reflect on who has excelled this year. There have been some awesome achievements this year and here at 606v2 we want to recognise those who have stood out from the rest.

If people disagree with them that much they can put forward some of their own nominees and they can potentially be added to the poll with vote cancelling allowed.

I had to pick a Dub. They've had a super year in the hurling having done much better than expected.

Interesting. Only one vote for the actual hand's down hurler of the year which was Michael Fennelly.

Michael Fennelly just pips Padraic Maher.

Lar Corbett is my pick he was a key player for them all year, ok he didn't turn up for the final but was great the rest of the year. He tore the Waterford defence apart by himself on occasions in the Munster final. Its hard to call though.

Unfortunately, Lar and Tipp used up all their luck in that game. I recently heard that their fitness coach has since left. There is a feeling that the players peaked too soon. Don't know know if that's possible when they only played 5 games in total. Howsever, 2012 is another year and may we never lose again to thes (Pussies)
