Suggest a Name for Nole Pub thread

All Nole fans out there!

We have got our own Novak Pub thread at last! Lets come up with a nice name for this.

Once we get some good alternatives for the name, we shall conduct a poll and finalize a name.

Sounds like a plan. Let's get going then.

I suggest the username of our most ardent fan of Novak on 606: NITB which stands for Nole Is The Best

Nitb, hope you have joined this forum and do let us know if you have any reservations for hijacking your username.

I personally think The Nole's Head is a cracking name, and that the person who suggested it is an absolute hero!!

Coincidentally, I'm also quite a big Novak fan!

Well I am .. most definitely. Can´t say I was a couple of years ago he was immature and a bit of a spoiled brat..though he always showed talent and potential he was his own worst enemy but Nole has come of age and his present form is proof of the potential that I think most tennis lovers knew he had. He is a man on a mission and I am pleased for him, his success is well deserved. My reference to Court Jester is that he has always liked to be a joker on and off court.

In YOUR opinion... Im entitled to mine.. His antics on court coupled with that of his parents did not endear him to many... and that included me. Sorry you dont like it but thats life... however as I said my opinion has now changed so that should make you happier so lets move on Im pleased to see HE has censored

Am having giga busy time at home, so have been only able to feast on some great tennis articles at Tennis.com, but hope to be "back" full time in April.

I think the thing is with Nole is that apart for the obvious on here Wink

a lot of people like myself like him, its just that he's not a first favourite.

I'm really pleased to see him doing well as he's a great player, good to watch and has great personality. I've always loved the tutonic matches he's had with Rafa ... and perhaps we'll be having more of them in the future.

But at least there's a place here for anyone who wants to come along and chat about him. thumbsup

Good to see you here. I used to read your articles/comments as they carried good analysis of our star's pros and cons. I especially liked the way you kept writing encouraging words about him during his lean period between 2009 to pre-wimbledon 2010.

Now that he has got his serve back, he is at a very good stage in his career to realize his dream of becoming world No.1.

Not being a fan of Gulbis .. the poor little rich boy... but a part of me actually felt sorry for him yesterday... a complete drubbing by Novak ..I think made him realise you dont get that good by not practicing and that tennis is more than a hobby to some

Oh yes I well remember but that actually proves my point.. Novak HAS been practicing.. and I bet he enjoyed the revenge... but by his own admission Gulbis doesn´t take it seriously enough.
I leave you to ponder why... he must believe that his talent alone will carry him through.. Certainly the prize money is peanuts compared to his father´s wealth.
Another who has never lived up to his promise of greatness Sad.. but he has to find something to keep himself amused..

Can't believe how well Nole is playing at the moment. He's only lost 6 games so far and it's not as if he's had an easy draw. Good for him and I can't see anyone beating him at this tournament (although as I mentioned on another thread I've not actually seen any tennis this tournament yet!), just going by his very impressive scores so far.

Sorry for having a wry smile about this one. Look, stranger things have happened, but he has the experience of winning the same Slam twice, being in the US Open final and never even appearing in the final of the French or Wimbledon yet.

He's very good on clay but to suddenly become a grand slam winner on those two surfaces over the next 4 months? Too soon.

However, I don't think that the fact that Djokovic has not been in a final of either FO or Wimbledon will be of much importance if he maintains this form till then... He has never lost an AO final, and he's won it twice Wink
