Done by the better side to be fair, Castres are a class act and looking good this season. Would have took a major effort for Saints to win there

Great win for Munster, they really know how to grind out a win. POC is playing like a 25yo at the minute, deserved Motm. ROG playing really too, gave Priestland a kicking lesson.

Munsters pack was pretty impressive through out! Botha , Varley , POC , Ryan , Lemmy all stood up!

Ronan's side step for the try was pretty classy!.

If we're going to persist with Lawes in the engine room we need a grizzly lock to partner him. Robson isn't that player and I don't think Parling is either, Garvey is seeming the standout candidate lately.

If Foden doesn't find some form??

He has been playing well of late?? Was sensational against Munster and Leicester!!

One supposedly cagey game and he's got a lack of form?? come on.

Hodgson looking quality for Sarries.

Anyone read SCW's article in the times today?

He wants an England back line of:

9 Ben Youngs
10 George Ford
11 David Strettle
12 Owen Farrell
13 Ben Foden
14 Chris Ashton
15 Sam Tomkins

Some interesting calls there!

Think he knows quite a bit about rugby, if you read his article its very well balanced. Wonder if Foden could play at 13? Sam Tomkins is the most natural runner Ive seen, wonder if the Wigan/Sarries link will see him play any games in union during the off season...

Ford's definitely the future no10 though, good to see SCW give him recognition there. Farrell is really becoming the only other option at 12 as no other good english candidates...

Ford is 3rd choice at his club, Farrell and Foden don't play in those positions for their club. Tomkins doesn't even play the same sport!!!

A little bizarre from the great man to say the least, he also think Rob Andrews is key to the future of English rugby.

Theyve been giving ford games in the A League to get him full 80mins - cockerill is bringing him through v well. He will be our best fly half by far. Floods a good player for me but not top int class in my book.

Andrew hasn't done anything fOr first XV For England but he's the man responsible for putting in the structure and youth teams. He's just too much of a yes man and media rip him apart because of that. Keep him away from Wngland main squad and he's done well.

Leinster are such cheats at the breakdown - don't get why English clubs dont do the same - Munster did it yesterday too. And ten nacewa tool Hopkins out in the face with a shoulder - nothing.

IRB have to bring back shoeing

Yeah Matt his dad has been quoted in the press as saying he'd be an excellent 13. His dad is a very talented coach and knows his rugby, but wants to watch both his sons as they are now both professional.

Alesana is being shown up here as a player who skills can be susceptible to attack. Unless he has just had an awful 10 mins that I've seen.

Leicester miss a natural 12 as a go to, Manu is constantly looking to come from deep our loop round back. 36 or Allen would have made big difference.

Leicester not good at rucks and getting dominated as all English sides have this weekend....worrying really

I find flood aimless. SCW believes that he is not the answer along with a lot of pundits. 10 will be a weak position for us for a few years. Would rather Farrell than flood

Flood our best 10 by a fair distance intill somebody else comes along. Farrell kicks too much from 10, Hodgson much better than Farrell at 10

Flood probably is our best ten but you would not
Win anything with him at ten so maybe you look at long term options.

Didn't we win the 6N? Just dont see anyone else coming through Matt, think Flood sometimes gets a bad rep because he's not Carter. He's a top FH when he's got runners from the backs.

36 on Tigers backline transformed, they've needed a straightening 12 all game to give Flood options. Manu is no 12 imo, needs some massive work there.

I'll get the results and tables for last weeks Euro games sorted today. Can anyone do the Amlin thread this week as I am struggling a bit for time again. It should be easy as it is just a simple revers of fixtures from R3.
