If Wales And England Win.

If Wales beat Italy and England beat France then the 6 Nations is pretty much WALES.
It would take a BIG point difference on the last weekend for England (assuming England were to beat Ireland and France to beat Wales)

So for a very rare occasion i want England to win

It will be good to see the Welsh support the english for the weekend.

I want England to win anyway!

I think they stand a chance, I don't see why not, France are heavy favourittes and rightly so, but they were in Italy last year too, anything can happen!

Wales need to focus on Italy and then France the rest will take care of itself

If France get another Draw same rules apply.

Unfortunately for the English though the French really feel they let themselves down last week and want a big game this week.

Personally I would rather we concentrated on winning the thing ourselves rather than already looking for folk to do us a favour.

Also and I know I am going to get disliked for this I would find it funny if England humped Fance and Ireland, and Wales only beath Italy and France by a point in each games, as then the 'issues' of the match at Twickers will really get the discussions going about what if etc.

I want England to do as much damage to France as possible.

The longer the English can stay in the game the better for Wales.

I want Wales to win both games with out the help from other teams. The rest of the games i'm not bothered about the results as long as the games are good entertainment. Actually I want Scotland to win all their remaining matches, my brother in law has suffered enough.... GO SCOTLAND!!!!

Alyn, if France lose they will come to Cardiff much in the same way as they approached the England game in the RWC where they blew them away after 20 minutes and game over. I would prefer a french win so they come waltzing into Cardiff ready for the showdown full of confidence and bravado. Croeso i Gymru my little petit pois

Then again, does it really matter how they come - we just need to beat them and beat them well

I still think England will have to raise their game to beat France. If they do they will have made a very big step forward.

Come on France. Hope they stuff the English.

I want to see a championship decider in Cardiff.

I realy do hope that England do beat France, but not because it would help Wales. But because it would show that England have stepped up their game from the game against Wales.

Why dont Wales try and win the tournament on their own, rather than realy on other team/'s to do them favours.

The tournements in Wales' own hands now, there is no need to rely on other teams. They just have to play they way they have been playing and it will be a formality.

But it has been a devalued tournament and England are rebuilding! Weakest 6 Nations since, I don't know, 2008 probably

Who cares what happens in other matches. Let´s face facts here: if Wales lose against France but still win the 6N it will still be a bitter pill to swallow. Just look at England´s effort in Ireland last year. You want to go out on a high. And if you´re in a position to win a Slam, you want to win the damn thing.

i dont think we need to go that far lol. france are favourites- not heavy favourites! good favourites yep. england even in transition are a dabngerous side and on another level to italy!

i am backing england and wales to beat up france in all fairness. France got to the final of the world cup through experience, just like england did in 2007. France are not a brilliant side at present, almost dissapointing!

In reality I want England to get a good lesson in Paris, I think there are a few players who can contribute to next years Lions tour, and going to Paris and learning from some of the most experienced players on the planet.

I don't think so Mysteroakey, Italy were at home whereas England will be playing in France.

I think that levels the playing field a touch!

cant see it really- especially when england have a good record in paris and a perfect record against italy, and at the time france had never been beaten by italy. from a team v team basis(even factoring in home and away) the shock would be much less if england beat france in paris than what happened last year. just saying

Welll records are all well and good, but I am actually talking about todays 15 on 15. I think the weather favoured England in Rome, and Italy matched England in just about all facets.

As a supporter I would rather face England in the MS than Italy in Rome or wherever they want to play.

Of these teams any way.

i think people underestimate the current england team , and perhaps overestimate the french.

look lets face it whatever england do its immaterial in many ways. us fans would get over a loss, or we would soon forget about a win!

France would also get over both scenarios pretty quick.

if italy did it again- ermm well now- questions would need answers!!

Anyhow the only material team left in this 6N's is wales. You shouldnt acept losing to france this year. you should be going in to the rest of this event with one intention only.

Just like england did last year, not many fans treat last year as a success at all even though we won. Same thing will happen if you guys get beat by france

I'm not too bothered about what happens to the other teams, as long as Wales win. The championship isn't over yet but we are clear favourites. We should beat Italy I can't see many betting against a Wales win. After that losing to France would be really hard to take. It's not as someone mentioned above that winning the 6n's isn't good enough without the grand slam, it's losing at the last hurdle. If you lose your first game and improve then win the 6n's thats great and it's something you can celebrate. Winning all your games and losing the last one, you cant celebrate because youve just lost and are on a downer. It really is a bitter pill.

Mystiroakey, you may be correct about England being under rated on the evidence of the past number of weeks and they may full well go and win in france.

But in all honesty, all things being equal the French should pull through due to home advantage.

As i said on another thread, Ireland defended France out of the game in the first half causing the French to get frustrated and make silly mistakes.

England have a very good defensive side and, by the looks of things, will attempt to do the same. England have a very good chance of defending France out of the game and pick off the points.

if you were talking about me- then i think you have the wrong end of the stick. i basically made exactly the same point as you did- the similarites between england playing ireland in ireland and wales playing france in france is very similar. If you loose a game early on and win the 6n's fans are obviously happy as larry

Seriously though, I think myster is getting a bit defencive because I compared England to Italy, but what I meant was that for me, Italy this year is just as tough a prospect at home than England are away in my opinion.

As in the French will probably find the English about as stern a test as the Italians were.

Hope I'm wrong though!

Having just returned home from my holidays I did some catching up, re watching the recorded BBC versions of the last two rounds, i think england did very well at home creating a lot of problems for Wales, but boyed by a massive and passionate crowd, I don't think England have the talent to cause France the same problems Ireland did last week.

If England do win it will be a very very valuable result on the road to England building a decent team in the future.

All i am saying is that England will certainly not be overawed going to Paris. SL is a canny manager and i feel that England can certainly pull off a result in Paris.

ireland should have held on- they did the hard part! they are a better team than they showed first second half.

Yes they are a very good team. But I wouldn't look at that game and under rate France at all. Ireland got a very good result last week.

I really dont understand that. Ireland defended France out of the game and pressed them continually. They were not lucky, they forced France into making those mistakes. Those mistakes were not normal French mistakes, they were mistakes made due to pressure.
