AC Milan 1 - 2 Bayern Munich
Ferdinand : Gourcuff, Falcao

AC Milan are set up well and I think their midfield 3 would work hard and contain Bayern's counterparts. Drogba would hold the ball up well but I think verm and Kos are experienced enough to handle him. Where Bayern take advantage is in attack, where I think their wingers and Falcao as the front man would be too pacey for the Milan back four.

Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1 Inter Milan
Bale, Hamsik : Pepe

Tough one to call. Spurs midfield is tops and had the edge on Inter, although Lassana makes life difficult for his former Real Madrid teammate. An out of form Tevez against an in form Ekkotto is pretty even. Spurs have the edge on the bench which makes the difference.

Manchester United 1 - 0 Liverpool
Ibrahimovich

Between Essien and Lampard I think they'd know when to go and when to defend and pick up the runs of Gerrard. This limits the opportunities for Liverpool. Utd's attack has the edge of Liverpools defence who are constantly on the back foot. Liverpool contain them well and it takes a moment of magic from Nani to create the goal.

Arsenal 0 - 0 Chelsea

Really can't separate these teams. Very compact in midfield and I think it would be a real battle for possession here. Chelsea probably have the edge in defence with everyone pretty experienced and able to deal with the Arsenal threats. Eto'o threatened but got a bit unlucky in front of goal.

Real Madrid 2 - 0 Juventus
Villa, Ronaldo

Massive gulf in class here for me. Juve worked really hard in midfield to hassle Alonso which limited Real's opportunities. Not much going forward for Juve though, Real's defence coped with ease. In the latter stages Juve's full backs just couldn't handle the pace on the wings. A moment of magic from CR07 settled it.

Manchester City 2 - 3 Barcelona

Brilliant match between these two very strong attacking sides. With Barcelona's defence depletedCity fancied their chances and they created plenty of scoring opportuniti, taking a 2-1 advantage into the final quarter of the game. But Messi up against City's fullbacks always looked a problem and the little maestro conjured up two beauties to snatch the points.

AC Milan 1 - 0 Bayern
Pastore

Tight match with combative midfields making life hard for the opposition. Both sides struggled to create chances and it looked to be heading for stalemate when new boy Pastore curled a free kick into the top corner. A perfect start for him and Milan's new manager.

Manchester United 1 - 0 Liverpool
Kaka

Another tight match. Liverpool set up to keep things tight centrally and they kept the home side quiet for much of the game although they rarely threatened the Utd goal defended by one of the strongest back fours in the league. It eventually took a piece of magic from Kaka to separate the sides as he showed he's not finished just yet.

Arsenal 0 - 0 Chelsea

Plenty of endeavor from both sides but no goals as the two sides cancelled each other out. Khedira did admirably well not to forget which side he was playing for as he put in a top performance against so many of his compatriots in the opposition. Good match to watch but ended all square.

Real Madrid 2 - 0 Juventus

Juve worked hard and kept Real at bay for an hour but the home side proved too strong in the end with goals from Spanish duo Torres and Villa.

Man City 1 - 2 Barcelona

Barcelona edged this to the last kick of the game when Van Persie produced a moment of magic and scored the winner as he dummied to players and curled an unstoppable shot. Higuain scored first with an early shot to catch the keeper offguard. Mesi equalised after Xavi put him through.

Milan started very brightly under new management and impressed throughout but unfortunately they could not stop Robben who was on top for and combined with Ribery to pass it past the keeper. Milan had a few chances but Neuer impressed with great saves especially late on against Drogba

A tale of two strikers who terrorised the defences and were briliant throughout 90mins. Llorente with a strong header whilst Benzema equalised after great play from Tevez. Not many chances created overall as both defences were tough to break down.

No goals as both teams were more eager not to concede rather than take a risk. Ibra had a great chances early on but hit the bar. Liverpool nearly scored too as Gerrard's 30 yarder just flicked the post.

Juve got off to a great start with Chiellini's thumping header but they got back in their shell and let Madrid come on to them. Ronaldo scored from a tight angle and then Torres followed it with a bullet header. Juve started to attack more and that left Ronaldo countering and unselfishly he set up Carzola to an easy tap in

Barca 2-2 Man City

There's not much to pick between the 2 teams which either makes for a good game or a borefest. This one proves to be a good game with both teams having very good attacking teams.

AC 0-2 Bayern

Bull might have a claim to have improved the AC team but they just can't cope with a Bayern team who are one of the best teams in the league. AC need more up front and a better CB than Mexes.

Spurs 0-0 Inter

For all Spurs attacking talent, Inter are set up well enough to deal with them. The 4-1-2-2-1 sets up well against the 4-2-3-1 and a point each is earned in a pretty dull game.

A good match on paper between the 2 teams but during the match I can see Germany... I mean Arsenal just shading it. It's a close game though.

Madrid 0-1 Juventus

cherries has built a very underrated team imo. They have more than enough to give an aging CB pairing trouble and enough at the back to keep the 2 strikers out. Note to Pav, play either Torres or Villa or Torres and Villa alongside each other but not one behind the other. It doesn't work.

AC Milan start off the strongest and go into the break two up and cruising, but the ageing legs begin to show in the 2nd half and Bayern get back into the game, the game stands even going into injury time only for Falcao to latch onto an unusual Rio error and slot into the back corner.

The two Wingers of Bale and Hazard caused Inter no end of trouble in this game and a cross from either side onto Llorente decided the match.

Whilst the forward duo is misfiring for Madrid it still didn't stop CR7 stepping forward with a moment of magic with a sweet free kick bending around the wall into the top corner that left Buffon frozen.

Hard fought victory for Utd over their bitter rivals, Liverpool came away feeling aggrieved after Howard Webb gave Utd a dubious penalty to decide the tie.

Clash of the titans and two of the form players in the world proved the difference up front.

Buffon gets man of the match as Juve cling on to a massive point away from home with a well organised defensive game.

Battle of the Argie wingers. Both gave their opposing RB's a run around and gave a goal for their teams.
