not sure how the rally went today after the neath ponty game but this is the new website for the proposed valleys rugby region, business plan at all

my thoughts on it, its an ambitious plan but would love to see if it could work as a concept

Ambitious? It's absolutely laughable. Brilliant how the so called new blue print for Valleys rugby is to make Ponty the most superclub region of them all.

to be fair on their website they hve said they will take games to other clubs in ebbw vale pontypool merthyr and more...although i gree its a tall order to get 10000 ppl to put up 100quid

The businessplan doesn't make any sense - so they'll fit right in with the other superclubs.

And they have a nice website - so let them play a few games.

The good thing about this is that it will prove the myth of disenfranchised rugby fans all over Wales just waiting for a so-called region of their own to be just that. Ponty fans have had two chances to engage with a region and they've said a resounding no thanks both times when it was on the table for free let alone asking them to pay for it. You cannot enfranchise those who do not want to be enfranchised.

It's just Owen Smith rattling away again. He just wants Ponty at the top table. If we go down this road we might as well go back to an 8 team pro prem again. Let's see how many players go to France and England then.
