Superhero films

Hey guys and gals,

Superhero films seem to be a way of life these days so I wanted to pose a few questions to the board.

Which films are you most looking forward to seeing, out of the ones that are on their way to the cinema screens in the next few years? Captain America? Thor? New Batman Film? Superman re-boot? Avengers?

Which Superhero would you most like to see a movie of?

Which is your favourite Superhero film?

and....Which is worse? Batman and Robin? Superman 4 The Quest For Peace? or Van Helsing?

For a bit of fun, I love the 70s Batman Film (gotta love the shark repellent)!

Best superhero film - Iron Man is very, very good. Wasnt expecting it to be but loved it. The Dark Knight was excellent too. But I will plump with Superman/ Superman II as the best.

Worst - Mystery Men - could have been great but was just average to poor.

Most looking forward to - most probably the next Batman movie.

I hate Superman in general as a superhero though Superman 2 is probably my fave superhero film.

I really enjoyed Mystery Men!

Letdown for me were the Spiderman series, Spidey was always my fave superhero and they didn’t do it justice, especially what they could have done with Venom.

Best superhero film - The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger as the joker was brilliant casting!

Worst - Batman & Robin or Catwoman!

Looking forward to the next Batman film and also X-men: the first class.

Does Howard the Duck class as a superhero? Class film

Best superhero film for me would be Spiderman 2. Does the Crow count as a superhero? If so then the Crow

Worst - Wolverine. Always loved Gambit and was excited to hear he was in that film. Saw it and he was rudey poo. They made him look like something out of a boy band and the film in general was just bad.

Looking forward to Captain America and the new Avengers movie. Thor has the potential to be really bad but hope it's not.

Would like to see a Captain Scarlet film. But not if it turned out like Thunderbirds.

Batman and Robin for me without a doubt. That film was just plain terrible.

Best Iron Man I like Robert Downey a lot I thought he was good in Sherlock Holmes and Beau Bridges as the baddy

Worst the Batman film with the penguin, Burgess Merdith in the series was a lot more fun than DeVito

Worst - X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Terrible film

Best is kind of harder to judge - I love the 60s Batman (you're right Hobo, the shark repellent batspray is awesome) for comedy value. In fact, if you want a laugh, click here.
But for quality of film, the Dark Knight really stands out, awesome movie.

I personally can't wait for Captain America, I hope its going to be beyond awesome. I have a feeling Thor will be better than we think. Plus being a massive Superman fan I can't wait to see what Zack Snyder does with the re-boot.

I was never a big Batman fan, although The Dark Knight did change my opinion of him. It is an outstanding film. Gotta agree with Hobo and Chelsea, the 60's Batman is great comedy value.

Aqua, I would say The Crow is a superhero film, it is superb

I would love to see a film of The Green Arrow, I reckon that would be good.

As much as I love Superman and the movies, Superman 4 is absolutely pants!!

Actually, in naming the worst superhero film I somehow (and unforgiveably) forgot about my worst film of all time: Daredevil.

Surprised no one else has gone for this, did you all forget about it or are there some people out there who actually like it?

I didn't hate it as much as Spiderman purely because Daredevil as a character I hadn't ever got into like I had with Spidey so it didn't feel as much a personal insult.

I liked two things about Daredevil, Bullseye and Electra. Bullseye was very funny his line "Hello Orphan" to Electra after he has killed her parents still makes me laugh. Electra turning up in her leather super hero outfit, getting ready to kick butt and being killed within a few minutes was hillarious. What was the point in her??

The best superhero film has to be The Dark Knight,i've never been a big Batman fan, but this film is an absolute gem.

The worst for me is a toss up between Judge Dredd and Superman returns.
I was a massive fan of the AD 2000 comic series but the film was just a total letdown.

As for Superman returns i remember watching the trailer and getting Goosebumps when the superman theme came on.
Went to see the film on opening night and ended up fallling asleep halfway through it,should have been so much better.

I'm hoping that DC do a better job with the Green Lantern film coming out this year.
