DTM launch looms!

To get the media representatives into the right mood for the DTM Launch on 10th April, a press conference was held today in Wiesbaden’s ‘Kurhaus’. In addition to the DTM aces Filipe Albuquerque, Mattias Ekström (both Audi) and Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz), ITR board member Dr Thomas Betzler and Dr Helmut Müller (Lord Mayor of Hesse’s capital Wiesbaden) also were on site to answer the questions of the journalists.

“We are truly delighted about the fact that Wiesbaden will once again be the venue of the DTM Launch, following the successful debut in 2010,” said Dr Müller. “The atmosphere around the Kurhaus was just fantastic and I hope that the weather will once again play along. Then, we may expect to witness another top-class event.”

Within the framework of the press conference, both premium manufacturers involved - Audi and Mercedes-Benz - showcased one of their DTM vehicles in front of the Kurhaus as photo and film subject. For the DTM drivers, the launch also represents an extraordinary event. “10th April will be a very special day,” says Albuquerque. “I was told a lot about the DTM Launch, particularly about its outstanding popularity with the fans.”
