UEFA tacked on 2 more for his red card in Barca.

Don't know if Chelsea have to qualify or not, that might take up his ban.

Not really an extra 2 games though, is it? Red card = 3 games. He's served 1, UEFA are essentially just confirming the ban will roll on to next season rather than be expunged following the end of this season's competition.

Don't think defending champs have to qualify so this will be the first two group games.

Are CL reds always 3 games? Seems harsh considering how many games you play total.

I wouldn't say it was harsh at all. It's his fault for assaulting Sanchez.

I think they are entering in the qualifying rounds, wherever Tottenham would have entered.

I know when Liverpool defended it, they entered in qualifying.

We are straight into the group stage. The only reason Liverpool started in the qualifiers was because there wasn't the same rule in 05. There were 5 English teams in the competition but Liverpool weren't counted as English and that's why we played them in the group stage in 05/06.

JT's ban will be the Super Cup and the first group game.

Are you sure? I assumed you took the place of Tottenham who would have to start in the qualifying rounds.

Does any English team have to start in the qualifying rounds then?

No I heard ITV (Because they know the score Rolling Eyes ) that no English team has to qualify and some diddy team in a diddy country has to. Seems very unfair to me.
