Zab Judah

Was looking at the ring rankings for the LWW division seen Zab is ranked 8th. He is IBF champ having KOd Mabuza last month. But where does he go from here? He has stated he won't fight at any other weight than LWW. He looked very good against Mabuza and is now working with Pernell Whittaker and you could see a marked improvement in his defence. I don't think he could beat Khan or Bradley but if he is dedicating himself where does he fit in this very strong division?

Yep, supposedly Marquez has been offered a (speculative it seems) 3 fight package for Judah, Guerrero (presumably if he gets past Katsidis), and (optimistically) Pacquiao.

I can't see why marquez would do that. The only time he's gone above light weight he looked poor, so testing the 140lb waters against one of the two very best in the division would be a mistake.

Marquez v Judah would be a great fight though. I'd pick Judah if he learns to pace himself.

Khan, Bradley moving up, Maidana, Morales won't be ready to fight Marquez will move up to light welter and Judah will be a good fight for him.

Marquez vs Judah at LWW if Scott said it, it's got to be true. I would have Judah to win. Marquez looked poor the last time he stepped up in weight and Judah is a natural LWW. He would need to pace himself and it would be a real test of the work Whittaker has done with his defence.

I would still pick Marquez to beat Judah despite his last outing at a higher weight. Against Mayweather he weighed 142lb - he would not need to fight anywhere near that weight against Judah at LWW. Saying that i haven't seen anything of Judah since Sweet Pea has been in his corner.

I always liked Judah, and always found it curious that he just fell short. The romantic in me would love to see him close out his career with something REALLY special, though I doubt we'll see it.

Think it will actually happen though? I reckon he will wait and see what happens this weekend, and if Guerrero wins he might take that. Judah would cause him trouble early IMO, but Marquez would pull away down the stretch. Slow starter vs fast starter.

And, ladies and gents, we have our post of the day.

I didn't even think about before it was thrown up here. Makes a lot of sense would make good money. Would be a decent victory for JMM but would be excellent for Zab. I was really impressed with him against Mabuza his defence was very strong but was still the aggressor in the fight and still had the punching power and killer instinct to finish his man off.

Anyway, it was 48,801, and I did have to give SOMETHING back for all the fun I have here.

I think this would be a real cracker; I am leaning slightly towards Judah as I think his speed could cause Marquez real problems.

Judah was very fortunate against Matthysee but looked good against Mabuza.

JWW seems his right weight as he's just too small for Welter and above.

interesting fight with Marquez but I only see JuanMa winning.

He's not actually that small he's 5'7" taller than Pac and only an inch smaller than FMJ and Berto. His body just doesn't take well to being at WW.
