guildfordbat wrote:JD - I was listening to radio commentary of Surrey's game at Trent Bridge when Somerset's win was announced. Apparently the Radio Notts commentator was punching the air in delight - pretty much confirms your closing line.
If Somerset can't claim the title then I would very much enjoy seeing Jimmy Taylor lift the trophy, that would be some consolation.

And I made my first visit to the Kia Oval this Thursday for the Test and I must say to all you Surrey supporter's, your ground is far, far nice than Old Trafford and Edgbaston! Loved my first visit! Beautiful ground.
Just to add, Kieswetter continued his exceptional form with a ton against Durham in a CB40 game today!

Re: County Championship Round 12 Discussion Thread
Haha, I certainly will do. I have a friend who I play cricket with who is a big Surrey fan and he works in London occasionally and enjoys heading down to the Oval for a game (His favourite player is Zander, so that might not make him to popular from reading the Surrey threads!) so if the opportunity arises I will definitely head down. It really is a lovely ground!

JD - to be fair, Zander had an excellent first season with Surrey in 2011 but has really struggled to reproduce thae same form this year.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to the Oval. My offer's a genuine one. Cheers.
