Trent Richardson to have surgery? Joe Haden to be suspended?

I have seen many reports yesterday that Richardson is going to see a knee specialist about possible surgery and Haden might be facing a 4 game suspension?

If true where does this leave the Browns for the start of the season?

Got to be a bit worrying for any Browns fans.

I read a report which said it was a bit of hanging cartilage that needed removing after his last surgery, so maybe not a huge deal? Even so, a running back with a couple of knee procedures before he plays in the NFL isn't starting the best possible way.

Then again, didn't Adrian Peterson drop in the draft because of health concerns

Hopefully it's nothing too serious for Richardson but he did have knee issues before entering the league it was why he wasn't at Alabama's Pro Day. Annoying that last year we had Jackson on IR, Hardesty and Hillis constantly injured and relied on Ogbonnaya off of the Texans practice squad and decided how to solve the mess at RB was add someone who hasn't even made it to the 1st preseason game, some people saying Holmgren and Heckert may have thought there was a decent chance they wouldn't be back for next season so employed this sort of high risk high reward strategy with Richardson and Weeden and using next years pick in the Supplemental draft as they may not be able to use it next year anyway.

Haden facing 4 game suspension for testing positive for Adderall (I think), apparently it's actually a legal drug you can get prescriptions for but is on the NFL's banned substance list so stupid for taking it. So from what would be our starting line up on defense Haden out for 4 games, Fujita out for 3, Phil Taylor expected to miss first half of season, Gocong I think out for most or all of the season. Some people are going to need to step up.

Sounds like Adderall is a way for players to get banned without admitting taking steroids.

Apparently Richardson's surgery was successful and they hope he will be back for week one.
