Could be because they spent so much on Carroll

Also they spent a ton of money on garbage like Downing, Adam and Henderson

i dont buy that- if they were that skint they would have played a carrol centric game for a few months - then sold him at a decent proce- then started up a new football philosophy..

teams that drop quality like that are normally ones that have money to burn!!

Probably be gone in next summer's transfer window if he keeps up the level of form that he's currently at. Even with all the money that Liverpool would get, he'd be impossible to replace simply because Liverpool will soon fall out of Europe altogether.

Any point away from home for us is a good point. I should imagine Reading saw us as a great chance to win there first game so to stifle them and get a good point keeps our unbeaten run going to 5 now
