Saints lose Van Velze for four weeks

Saints have lost new signing Van Velze for four weeks after he picked up a ban for a tip tackle against Exeter on sunday.

Personally and as a saints fan I think this is spot on and he was lucky not to get a red on the day.

I see this as another plus in the use of the TMO for foul play in game. It long annoyed me that post match punishments didn't help the team who the offence was committed against.

Although on this occasion a red card was not issued, at least Exeter got some justice in that Saints were temporarily reduced to 14 men.

Baggy, seems like the right decision to me. No complaints from Exe about not getting the red at the time, these things are swings and roundabouts - last season, Gonzo Camacho was banned for 2 weeks following a YC and citing for dropping Alex Grove of Wuss.
