One of the greatest shots I've ever seen, but shouldn't he been closer to the net after the approach shot for a conventional volley?

Yeah it is an amazing shot eric probably the best I have seen this year. I don't know how much Dimitrov new about it he just kind of through his racquet at it, and as you alluded he is completely out of position on that ball.

Thanks for posting this, it was worth seeing. ALthough it seems to be that these commentators call shot of the year about once a week.

To be fair it does show Dimitrov is not without talent/ hand skill.
If he can sharpen his mental strength he could still go on to fulfil the promise he showed 2-3 years ago. Any young player coming through with a SHBH I salute!

Dimitrov was moving towards his right and decided to stop when Troicki went CC. Very instinctive from Dimitrov. Like Troicki's reaction too.
