V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 14

Fridays group saw Wade Barrett and Randy Orton progress into round 2 with the icon sting and the monster abyss both failing to get through.

Next up is group 14

Another poor group, but i've gone for Otunga for his lawyer work.

I went Otunga too.

He may be a pretty poor worker, but I think him, Laurinaitis and Eve could have gone on for much longer. It was gold mostly. It seems WWE are so keen to get to the resolution of things these days (excepting Sheamus vs Del Rio's "feud of a thousand years") that they are binning stuff that works.

As a worker I can't stand Itunga but I like the whole Lawyer gimmick, I don't know if that's enough to make me want to vote for him though, I just don't like him

Is it the perfectly trimmed beard?

I quite liked Gunner once he'd broken free of being a security guard gimmick but like many he just then became lost in the mix as a vanilla angry heel.
Swagger is quality but again he's saddled with utter dirge over the past 12 months and is at present not even on the screens whilst they try and repackage him.
ADR is worse than Xpac at getting Xpac heat and that's quite an achievement.
Jerry Lynn I've just never liked, looks like the guy from Nickleback so that warrants a no.
And Bo Dallas, well his face is just odd. Sort of chipper but warranting a good smack.

My vote goes to Otunga for being the least worst this year.

I thought I could see a potential star of the future in Gunner about a year ago, maybe a bit more but like you said, he got lost in the shuffle and looks completely uninterested

it could very well be, in all honesty though I can't put my finger on it, I suppose its more of a WWE thing than an Otunga thing, he's just too well groomed and everything just seems too rehearsed, there's very little believability too him, much like a lot of WWE backstage segments

Voted for del rio as if we are talking past 12 months he was still champion this time a year ago and has had a pretty good year since, feuding with punk and Sheamus, not that I like the guy but is the best of a bad bunch.

Bo Dallas does look quite good on NXT

My vote goes to Alberto Del Rio. Missed the start of 2012 due to injury. Came back and actually got a bit of a pop in front of a very good Miami crowd the night after Wrestle Mania. Went on to have a boring feud with Sheamus. None the less they still put on some good matches the best one of memory was at Night of Champions. Had a very good match with Orton at Hell in the cell.

Tough one, I like Swagger but he hasn't done much, I don't like Del Rio but he's done quite a lot. Otunga I think has done quite well with what he's been given. I like him more as a back stage character though.

I'll have to begrudgingly go for Del Rio.
