Cena's Back stage Politics Empty Cena's Back stage Politics

Post by MetalMotty Tue 04 Dec 2012, 11:27 am

Sunday on Twitter, Gabe Tuft, who appeared as Tyler Reks in WWE, dished some dirt on his former employer including a story regarding his one-time finishing maneuver, the Burning Hammer, and how John Cena took issue with him over it.

"Anyone want to know what top guy forced me to stop using the burning hammer - even after it appeared on SD/RAW and PPV's?," Tuft wrote. "1st house show loop, Cena asks pulls me aside, degrades me like I'm 10 years & tells me if I use it again I'd me fired. He yelled at me & said, 'Who gave u permission to use that'? Apparently he hadn't been watching the product 4 the last 8 months... Or perhaps how he stole our idea to get fired, use social media to get over, & run in from the crowd (Given to Miz & Truth)... I still have the promo DVD our idea was burned onto when Cena supposedly helped us with the idea - then lied & said it wasn't stolen later."

When asked by a Twitter user on why he feels Cena did not want him using Burning Hammer, the former WWE Superstar said "it looks better than the [Attitude Adjustment]" and that Cena is "insecure."

Former WWE wrestler Kenn Doane (a/k/a Kenny Dykstra), who has called the Cenation leader's personal character into question numerous times in recent months over the micro-blogging outlet, concurred with Tuft's remarks Monday.

"Uh oh! @GabeTuft spoke truth, now cenation gonna cry lol," wrote Doane.

He continued, "@GabeTuft was a threat [to Cena], he looks impressive and has talent."

Now i know people go on to prtect themselves and people use their power to gain sway, but i didnt think Cena was one of those guys.

This is another story thats come out recently about Cena being paranoid. Should he feel thratened by a guy using a move...really?

Getting to the top isn't the hardest thing to do, staying there is!

Every guy who's been at the top has done this or similar at certain times to stay there

But John Cena's such a nice guy! He does make a wish and he loves the troops and he really hates cancer. There's no way he'd ever do anything nasty like this.

Also have to take into account that Tyler Reks was used quite poorly by the WWE after early promise so will be extremely bitter, and he should probably stay away from getting support from KENNY! who has come across as very bitter and weird on Twitter in recent months.

I get that Cena might have some issues with being the top guy and wanting to secure that position but I think that some doubt has to be placed on the stories of somebody in Reks' position. I especially think the whole storyline being stolen thing sounds very odd and still hurt there, but I don't think that will have ever been Cena's call, as to who got to use that story, anyway.

It's not exactly the most surprising thing to hear. Disappointing maybe, but completely understandable. It seems from all intents and puposes the only top draw to never really politic to keep his "spot" was The Rock.

As for the issue of the Burning Hammer itself, why would the WWE or Cena allow anyone to use a more impressive version of his finisher especially someone so low down the card? I don't think it is case of Reks getting over using the move so much as it cheapens the aura of Cena's FU/AA.

Using someone else's finish is quite a big deal. So it makes perfect sense to me, and it wouldn't really be the first time it has been done either.
