It Wont be Long Now
As we know Rafa will soon be taking to the courts in Chile on February 6th. This news is music to the ears of all his fans .. however there are some that might not be so elated about the fact that the Spaniard will be returning to the dirt ..and hopefully... and I mean hopefully, return to his pre injury form, albeit it will doubtless take some time.
Nice to know though, that not just his fans have been missing him during this tournament. He obviously has friends in high places.

Tennis in general missed Rafa not just his fans, his return would be a big boost to the tour, I would have loved a Nole-Rafa semi in AO, I Hope it happens in FO.

Until someone breaks through the game needs a 4th contender, the draws are stupidly lop sided as is.
I wouldn't be too influenced by his early results, one way or the other. The priority is just to not break down.

Yeh Hey! It won't be long. Don't worry Haddie-nuff. As long as his knees are OK I doubt he will have forgotten what a tennis racquet is.

Yes thats true... Now that he has had his hair cut off short .. it should take some of the weight of the knees lol

To be fair, even if he is not back at full 100% by then, I wouldn't bet against him for FO. He is tough to beat there!

Maybe getting in some additional match practice, IMBL? I'd say it shows he has a relative amount of confidence in the knees, at any rate!
Looking forward to seeing him back, I've missed his intensity on tour

Great news for tennis to have such an icon of the game back. It will take time got him and his comeback will be about going through the stages such as regaining confidence in the knee, building up match sharpness and fitness and getting the competitiveness back. Best of luck to Rafa.

I really like to see a Nole-Rafa FO semi's, I am still not convinced Nole can beat Rafa in FO, so a best of Nole vs best of Rafa in FO semi's would be interesting and would love to see the winner face Fed in the finals, oh before that would love to see Nole square off against Del Boy in quarters

I'd like Nadal to be in Djokovic's or Federer's QF at the FO

lol haddie
At least this one doesn't waste energy on pointing out his dislike for Rafa!
Unlike "the hawkeye" who seems to make it a life's work reading newspapers, checking media reports and trying to pick up scraps to discredit poor Andy.
Forums would be dull without these types now wouldn't they!
How is it going anyway - nice to seevRafa is going to be back in action.

Re: It Wont be Long Now
Things could be better for me on the personal front.. but heh everyone has a story to tell Im sure. Yes SL I am looking forward to seeing "the boy" back in action .. do so hope that all goes well for him . Im sure that he will be a little nervous on his first outing but hopefully he will regain his confidence quickly.
It seems a pity that there are those here that seem to get more pleasure from voicing their dislike of a player than actually talking about the game itself.
But I have got used to the fact that there are those who have to get their kicks doing so. Generally this forum is clear of the real wums.. the rest dont bother me. Hope you are keeping well SL
