Have to agree with MIG. Not only is T2 better than the first but ranks very highly in my list of favourite movies of all time

haven't seen Manhunter, but Silence of the Lambs is a great film.

The Dark Knight and of course Empire Strikes Back were the two which sprang to mind when I saw the thread title.

re Terminator and X-Men, I liked both the first and second movies, but if pushed would probably take the first.

Have to disagree on Alien though, thought the first film was much better. Aliens is a great watch, but in terms of quality falls quite a bit short of the first film of the franchise.

Alien and Aliens are just very very different films, 1 is a horror in space, 1 is an all action shooter. Personally I prefer the high octane, marine gun fest of the second especially due to one of the best characters sharing my surname.

Aliens was probably more fun to watch ...less suspense but more action.

Both up there in Sci Fi film history.

Just the flashback parts, which were taken from the novel like with Gf1. The rest of it (with Michael) was written for the screen and can't make up its mind where it wants to go - inadvertently foreshadowing the miasma that was Gf3.
