American Idol

Has anyone been watching the new series?

I love this show -- watched it every season as the talent is so much better that the UK's dirth. The only rubbish weeks are the country and western week and Diva week - apart from that its always top notch.

And since Cowell left, they now have J-lo and Steven Tyler as the judges - Tyler is a nutter (but in a good way!)

Just me, or are there other fans out there?

Sorry I don't like the shows like American Idol, X Factor and other shows like them,
Girlfriend is crazy about them, so when I'm around her place, I get stuck watching them

I love American Idol, but don't knock Country music, yeah Country and Western sucks, but don't knock Country it's all about having a good time. If you think it's all fiddles and banjos then I suggest you go on Youtube and search Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert & Zac Brown Band.

Sorry if it sounds like a rant but I can't stand peoples perception of Country, it's mostly Rock with a bit of Violin.

And a either a story about the wife leaving or Jesus at the steering wheel

sorry, I just dont like it - the same with Reggae.

I like country music, ok I grew up with a different type of music, more Irish Folk and Rock with a bit of Violin ,

Another thing about Country is every female singer is beautiful, it's like being a female Country singer is an exclusive profession for hot women.

I only watch it to laugh at the simpletons who think they can sing.

my wife was blubbing like a schoolgirl the other night at the contestant who looked like Jack Black whose girlfriend was in a wheelchair.

Steven Tyler came over as a top guy during that segment.
