I knew a guy from Wales called Dai. He was picked on because he was the only Dai in his village. Run

You fibber.
There are many Dai's in every village in Wales. It's the way it is.

kiakahaaotearoa wrote:Is Dafydd daffodill in Welsh? Genuinely curious. I know the Prince of Wales feathers are the emblem but where do leeks and daffodils come into it?

From what I gather Daff O'Dil was an Irish bloke who had a flower named after him and Leeks together with Daffodils are the main ingredients in a Welsh delicacy called Cawl. Blended with seaweed, Rabbit, cheese and spread on toast it's supposedly fabulous. Never tasted it myself so I wouldn't know.

You're right. I was thinking of Little Britain and his name was Dafydd. Very Happy
