Healy or Jenkins.
For me it has to be Healy, his ability to get good go-forward ball, his work in the breakdown and his ever improving scrummaging, makes him in my opinion one of the top 3 looseheads in the world.Show me another prop, such as old man Jenkins do this!Plus in 2 out of the 3 times,he's played Australia,he has recieved MOTM.

Cian healey then Andy Sheridan for me, can't see how you can pick a player.to start for the best amalgamated team from Britain and ireland when he's number 2 at his club getting 20 mins here and there !

Plenty of Lions in the past haven't been the best player in their position, but they have been selected because they suit the style the coach wants to play.

1. Healy
17. Sheridan

for me, with Gethin Jenkins touring as a senior player in the midweek side.

Jenkins has had a poor season but is living off the hype of the England game. A lot of Welsh fans stated their preference for Paul James before that game, and while Jenkins played well, that doesn't leapfrog him ahead of the consistently strong Healy.

Another thing to consider is the strong possibility that Jenkins wont get much rugby from now until the tour. He's been 2nd/3rd choice at Toulon til now and Sheridan has been brilliant for them by all accounts.

This, along with his history vs the Aussies, make Sheridan the best option for the bench in my view. Jenkins deserves to tour and he will lend a lot of experience and maturity.

All that said, performances in Oz will dictate and all could change by the time the 1st test comes around.

Sheridan needs to start not come off the bench. His impact is destructive and Healy's would be when the game breaks up a bit more.
