Surprise onside kick in Madden 11

As many gamers know the surprise onside kick is the new feature in Madden 12. But, playing Madden 11 at the minute as the Patriots vs Bengals and up 38-6 in the 4th quarter the Bengals audibled to an onside kic from a regular kick. I didn't know this was possible, it's not even an option and you can't even call audibles on FGs and Punts. Maybe it's just a glitch, a very very annoying glitch.

What you have been able to call them for god knows how many maddens ago. And the audible has always been there for the onside kick.

I know how to call them but the other team always set up so they always get it. You can't audible on kicking plays.

You can audible in special teams. I can't recall the buttons/combo right now, but I know I've done it when defending an unexpected onside KO.

I just used my googling skills and the mass consensus say, on 360, it's X + LB but some say Y + LB. I'll try it when I get the chance.

It was always Square plus I think L1 on PS3, so will be the same button placing for 360

When you're in a regular kickoff formation you press X + LB, but the receiving team always audible and get ready before it gives you a chance to kick it and even then you can't change back, so it's a waste of time even trying it.
