Chester meeting Day 2

a couple of big races today
In the 2.20 AWAIT THE DAWN is a short priced favourite.
He is probably not worth opposing but CRITICAL MOMENT is well drawn an came 3rd in a tough race at Ascot last week. Also LIGHT FROM MARS has in form jockey Paul Hanagan on board and looks over priced.
The Chester Vase at 2.55 is an interesting Derby trial. NATHANIEL got closest to Frankel as a 2 year old, whilst Aidan O'Brien runs TREASURE BEACH with Ryan Moore on board. However SLUMBER has already won a Derby trial at Epsom a couple of weeks ago and I am going to take a chance that he might follow up here.
My other tip today would probably be BEACHFIRE in the 4.05
