A Message to Mikkel Kessler

There's nothing I can do about it. Except, uh, I wanna tell you this once and then, uh, I ain't gonna say it again. But Mikkel, you got another shot. This is the second shot. At, uh, I don't know the most loathable fighter in the world, and you're gonna be swappin' punches with, with the most dangerous fighter from Nottingham in his own country. Cause he wants to punch your face in pieces! That's right! This guy don't just wanna win, you know, he wants to bury ya, he wants to humiliate ya, he wants to prove to the whole world that you was nothin but some kind of a freak the first time out. He said you were a one time lucky bum! Well now I don't wanna get mad but I think you're a hell of a lot more than that kid! A hell of a lot! But he can’t hurt you because you are a 168 lbs Danish Viking. GO THROUGH HIM. RUN OVER HIM!!!

He's wrong though. Froch doesn't think Kessler was a lucky bum. He thinks Kessler is a warrior, because they had a war in the first fight and froch is a warrior So Kessler must be a warrior too. Because it takes two warriors to have a war.

The return fight will be a war too, and froch will make his fists the judge and jury to avoid any dodgy judging like last time. Because that's what warriors do, and although Kessler is a real warrior, froch is even more warriorer. In fact froch is probably the most warriorest warrior in the history of boxing.

Fine effort there, Milky, but no Froch pastiche is complete without using the term "take him in to the trenches."

Is there much hype in Nottingham for the fight Chris? I read it is a bit low key at the moment which I was surprised at if true.

It's not being talked about as much as the Bute fight, but that's pretty much just because it's no in these here parts this time out, I imagine. Since his switch over to Hearn and Sky, Bute was Froch's first fight with his raised profile back in Nottingham so it attracted quite a few lower-key fans. But amongst people I know who really follow the sport, they're generally looking forward to this one more.

Froch is apparantly a throw back fighter, like the old Gladiators hundreds of years ago............he actually said that on Sky Sports News

Froch should fight in the amphitheatre in Nimes. Would be a fantastic boxing venue.

I have a feeling Kessler will do the job. He barely flinched at Frochs best shots so I doubt Froch will have more power than he did a few years ago.

People are carrying on as if Kessler is finished when in fact his fights since the surgery he has been ruthless in finishing his opponents off. His KO of Allan Green was brutal.

Unfortunately not, Jeff. For the first time in years, I won't be attending one of his fights on these shores! Would have loved to have gone but Glasto ticket and provisions, plus a holiday for me and the lady friend later this summer, have cleared me right out.

And plus I absolutely detest Froch, of course.

You need to consider getting a new missus Chris, not sure any woman who would not prefer a weekend in the big smoke and an evening watching Froch Kessler over a week in the sun is a keeper to be honest.

Can't help but think that Froch may try to box this one.

So much of the build up is about it being a war but feel Froch may try to win at least the first half of the fight behind the jab (like against Abraham).

I wouldnt hold your breath on Steffan's reaction to Froch beating Kessler. After all he did say if Cleverly were to fight another bum after the Karpency debacle then he would give up supporting him...........hey ho, Shawn Hawk & Kaqsqui (or whatever hes called) plus more numerous Hopkins call outs and guess what........he is still backing Cleverly to the hilt.

I hope Kessler wins too as he is a true gentleman of the sport, not a old throw back gladiator like Froch claims to be.

Kessler has destroyed every opponent he has faced since coming out of retirement, where is the "has-been" comments come from.

He looks as stong as a bull recently. And I think the Bute fight has glazed over the truth that Froch is on his way down.

Even Ward said he was the slowest fighter he has ever fought, and Ward has fought some seriously weak opponents.....
