When it comes to boxing the guy was a top player,
Winning the title against Markus Beyer
Our fighter is a talented and clearly no mug,
And never gets distracted by his sisters juggs
Half man, half tattoo you know it’s true, you know it’s true
Half man, half tattoo, fights in the ring, for me and you
He beat Carl Froch not far from his home town,
The slimester said he was robbed but Mikkel ignored that clown
He lost to Joe Calzaghe but that was no shame,
Infront of 50,000 Welshman it was a world of pain

Andre Ward kept getting him with headbutts,
And our Viking had to retire because of the cuts
He came back into the ring looking pretty mean,
And this proved true as he knocked out Allan Green

In a rematch with the slimester he looked totally shot,
Now thankfully he has retired instead of losing the plot

Steffan. Dave and hammy are metal heads and whilst they may be all SLAYER now, they probably cut their teeth on the final countdown ' we're heading for venus but still we stand tall, cos maybe they've seen us and will welcome us all'

I don't really believe the whole 'England were understrength' nonsense though. You have a population of 50 million and the biggest pool of players to select from in the world so "understrength" shouldn't even be in your vocabulary
Half of the players that came in for England are better than the ones they replaces anyway something us Welsh need to do but that will not happen under Gatland who will be out by the end of 2015

Grindcore's OK actually. NAPALM DEATH being the stand out artists (they sound a bit like METALLICA singing "Nothing Else Matters" all the time STRINGY. Ask your mummy to buy you a couple of their albums)
MIISERY INDEX are excellent but I wouldn't expect many of you to appreciate that comment what with you being as uninitiated in the ways of METAL as you are (liking Bon Jovi simply isn't enough)

I didn't bring up football. The last time England football fans came to Dublin they wrecked one of the oldest rugby stadiums in the world.

You wrote you were specifically a grind core journalist. Maybe you hated your job.
I actually said I had written on the subject, rather different.
Like most things you don't have a clue, thrash metal is simply put American Heavy metal they felt the need to relabel in attempt to seem cutting edge and new, when in reality the NWOBH had been doing it for years already. Same with most subgenres of rock, anything slightly different gets a label, like Death being Progressive, technical death metal when in fact again they're just a heavy metal band. I tend to steer clear of Black Metal as it's a rather distasteful scene full of neo nazi's and depressed teenage boys deciding they're going to worship Satan just to stick it to the establishment.
Grindcore ironically does need a subgenre of it's own, as it combines both hardcore punk and heavy metal whilst utilising blast beats, it's an interesting genre from a political standpoint but the actual content leaves a lot to be desired. It's why the rather brilliant Bill Steer went on to form Carcass, a band that veered away from 'gorecore' to produce the magnum opus of British death metal Heartwork, the guitar work on that album is second only to Chuck Schuldiner.
In short Strongy, don't talk rubbish about something you know even less about than boxing.
