Another Matchroom signing?

Just been reading that Matchroom are signing another couple of fighters shortly.

The one that springs to mind for me is Scott Quigg who hasnt had a fight since November last year and has nothing lined up.

When we talked to him on the podcast, he said he was fit and ready to fight.

I believe that he has a contract to fight 4 times a year so surely this would be enough to break the Hatton contract if need be?

What does everyone think?

I'd like to see them sign Adam Etches also.

Maybe Jamie McDonnel, just won a world title but no-one really knew a out it as the only TV deal they got was Primetime

They are hoovering up so many now I can't help feel it'll enter diseconomies of scale territory.

Can't see McDonnell leaving Hobson after the job he did for him. Long shot.

I dont see why people have a problem with Hearn signing these "names". Remember the old Don King days when his cards were packed to the rafters...........well Matchroom could well have the ability to give us massive nights of the best of British fighting the best of British.

Rees, Crolla, Haye, Froch, Groves........the list goes on.

Its exciting times, if it doesnt work then "ah well", but at least he has the balls to have a go at it.

I was thinking that when he got Haye though he is quite sellable in himself - I wonder how little the rest of the undercard might get and if they'd be willing

But Haye promotes himself, he is just co-promoting with Matchroom to get on Sky. Sort of like Khan Promotions / Goldenboy / Warren Promotions.

The other Matchroom guys are just Matchroom fighters, end of.

Plenty of us are used to bitching about ol Frank so it's about time somebody else took the reigns. I'm all for it.

Heanr isn't an idiot, I have a feeling he understands the economics...

Eddie Hearn knows. Get quigg signed up, Hatton has done nothing with him. If it wasn't for his comeback he'd have gone without a fight for over a year. at what, 25? Shocking. Three or four a year is needed.

Decent name undercard fighter now I think, can't see him getting another world shot unless Fast Eddie sends him to America for a spanking and a far cheque.

He's scheduled to headline in his first show for Matchroom, wouldn't surprise me if he has an off night and gets beaten.

Have to say the first sentence in this article is a surprise, don't remember his fight with Ricky Burns being thrilling.

They had Kal Yafai headline one earlier in the year.

hatton wants the frampton fight to happen.

id agree he needs more fights though. he is in his peak or nearing it and needs to fight 4 times a year if possible.
