Mosley vs Ortiz rumoured Empty Mosley vs Ortiz rumoured

I heard this a few days ago. Apparently in the works but I don't have any source to back it up.

If true I can understand why. Both GBP, Ortiz needs a name to build himself up again and Mosley gets another reasonable paycheck.

I'd have to favour Ortiz. Despite his questionable ring IQ/heart he's strong, young and powerful and I don't think Mosley has enough now to keep him at bay. Ortiz by UD.

Saw this rumour going around Twitter. Sensible match-up for the aforementioned reasons and I agree with the result prediction if it does happen - Ortiz UD.

Lose/Lose for Ortiz.

Win and he's beaten a guy recently un-retired, on the wrong side of 40 and who hasn't had a meaning ful win for years

Lose and he's just lost to a guy recently un-retired, on the wrong side of 40 and who hasn't had a meaningful win for years

For all his flaws, Mosley is still wily enough to make Ortiz look very poor and it's hardly likely to inspire people to think Victor is ready to get back into World title contention

Mosley comfortably beat Cano who was himslef unlucky not to beat Paulie who is a welterweight champ, so its understandable why he'll want to continue

As you say Ortiz needs serious rebuilding, the Lopez loss is far more damaging than the one he suffered agaisnt Maidana

It makes sense and Ortiz should win but Mosley can still cause fighters problems that aren't elite. He's lost his speed and power but still moves well, has lots of experiance and just doesn't get stopped
