"Why they never made Waterworld 2 is beyond me"

Nicholas Cage got into the character so well that you forgot he was an actor.

Sean Connery's Russian accent was excellent.

M Night Shalyman's latest film has a sensible plot that doesn't twist for the sake of it.

"Making 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' really was the perfect ending for the franchise and helped provide closure to the rest of the trilogy. Ford propelled himself back into youth to reprise his role as the familiar archaelogical hero."

It's refreshing to see Michael Bay let the special effects (explosions) take a back seat and allow the script and acting do the talking in his latest smash hit

Spielberg’s latest is cynical, uncompromising and completely devoid of the type of sentimentality that would make a Care Bear vomit blood

Jaden Pinkett Smith was excellent, it’s clear he doesn’t get roles based on who his father is

Not once did I p1ss myself & cough popcorn up through my nose laughing at Orlando Bloom delivering his lines

The Farrelly brothers surely have overtaken the Coens as Americas premier writing/directing sibling duo

What the world really needs is another Star Wars sequel/prequel/spin-off.

It was quite easy watching Hugh Grant playing the proverbial clumsy & bashful Englishman without wanting to leap into the screen and break a teapot in his face.

I ususally love watching Dame Judi Dench. She has a gravitas and nobility rarley seen on the cinema screens these days. However, I can't help feelling that her full frontal nude scene detracted greatly from the plot this time.

Keanu Reeve's portrayal of Nelson Mandela had a breadth of sincerity and depth of feeling that is unrivalled in modern cinematic experience.

A Fistful of Willy is Eastwood's finest work to date.

Didn't watch the film, they're all balls these days. Stayed at home and watched the football instead. Wife was out so I put my feet up and ate Cheese Puffs from a bowl resting on my stomach. Occasionally went to the bathroom and knocked one out thinking about Salma Hayek but go to the flicks and sit through another Reese Witherspoon car crash of a movie? Not for me

I'm really disappointed that Peter Jackson left the Tom Bombadil character out of Lord of the Rings. Another 244 hours of film would have completed the trilogy for me.

It reminds me of the early works of Akira Kurosawa with the depth of characters and beautiful cinematography.

The middle section brought me to tears and certain scenes were as iconic as Battleship Potemkin. Gravitas, thought provoking and intelligent cinema. One day, this filmaker will be remembered alongside the greats.

So in summary, I give Weekend at Bernies 10/10

Will Ferrell gives an acting performance of subtle understatement.

Fast and Furious 7 - possibly the greatest action film ever made, with a fantastic leading role performance from Vin Diesel.

Jar Jar Binks deserves his own series of spin-off movies

This film was carried by the excellent performances of the 2 lead characters. I struggled with who impressed me most: was it Steven Seagal who portrayed the role of a peaceful gardener who also liked to campaign to save the dolphins and was emotionally vulnerable to the point you just couldnt help but sympathise with him and want to hug him? Or was it Hugh Grant who played the role of a psychotic deranged madman who was considered a danger to everyone? Oscars abound for this film!!!

Nicholas Cage plays a man addicted to late night radio talk shows...finally a film where he can still phone it in and no-one thinks too badly of him.

The critical acclaim this film received has sadly been overshadowed by the allegations of deliberate animal cruelty. When asked for his thoughts, the Director agreed that the role of the Horse Whisperer shouldn't have gone to Brian Blessed.

The recently discovered Director's Cut of "the Hobbit" shows Peter Jackson definitely has the ability to direct an action movie...sorry, seems I've been watching Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 5.

Jason Statham's performance of Hannibal Lector in the remake of Silence of the Lambs was one of great subtlety and understated brilliance. His chilling silence and haunting eyes gave the role a gravitas that Hopkins or Cox would be proud of themselves.
