Called that on the podcast last night! As I also said though, how many reveals can you have where the person is always a let down?

The thing is, he was a huge star in MMA. But TNA's record of making former MMA stars seem relevant is awful!

It's not a terrible name to reveal, but it's the third MMA fighter revealed recently and none of them have done anything in the ring yet.
Ortiz has only come in as he is Jackson's opponent in Bellator, it seems to me Bellator keep getting the better end of their partnership.

Yeah this definately does more for Bellator than it does for TNA.
Its a shame this Impact is gonna be remembered for this poor revealing. The wrestling on the show was damn good. Aries/Styles happened for the first time and didn't disappoint.

Correct, Ortiz WAS a huge MMA star which fits in with TNA’s blueprint of recruiting has beens.
It might spark some minor interest but Ortiz isn’t going to move the needle for TNA is he.
