Surrey have named a fourteen man squad for the Friends Life T20 Quarter Final against Somerset at the Kia Oval this afternoon.

You are probably right about the three to miss out.

I believe that Dernbach will still play but have heard that there is a slight doubt about his fitness which probably explains the Viscount being in the squad.

It would be a bold move to play Curran. I suspect the Brain and other members of the old guard will get the nod but there's just a chance the youngster might be thrown in.

With Curran's elevation, very hard to see any future at the club for Jewell. As well as Curran, Jack Winslade is another up and coming allrounder. He's in the England under 19 squad for a series against Pakistan and Bangladesh starting soon. Saw him in a seconds' match last month and liked the look of him.

Going along pretty well considering what batting we have left.

Buttler down to come in at 6.

Surely has to come in at the fall of the next wicket, with the position Somerset are in now.

Give him 8-9 overs to go big

To be honest I thought that little event was more Trego being a muppet. Neither covered themselves in glory however

Batty screamed in his face twice and then clearly swore 3-4 times with the camera on. Setting a great example to kids...

Jimbo - thought more of the blame attached to Trego than Batty. Unpleasant and unnecessary anyway.

Batty always screams when he gets a wicket, he was looking more to Davies than Trego anyway and was walking towards the keeper and Trego decided to walk straight towards him and wanted a fight by the looks of it. I think Batty was swearing afterwards after being accused of doing something wrong which he clearly didn't think he did.

Somerset (bar Kieswetter) have been pants so far with the bat

Mmmm agree to disagree on this one guys. Batty did something similar last year at the rose bowl too.

Our batting line up looks a bit thin.

Massively reliant on Roy and Davies for the run chase.

Phew, really thought they were trying to make a mess of that. More handbags from Batty and Trego at the end. Wilson with plenty to say during his innings as well.

Still, it all adds to the excitement!

I thought Wilson was in the right to query ''no ball'' not being called but not in the overly aggressive way he asked (or rather, demanded). I'm no great fan of Lewis but I noticed him late on showing his experience and going about things in exactly the right way by having a quiet word with one of the umpires.

Anyway, very pleased by the win although could have done without the late wobbles (as I warned Olly to expect!). All in all, a very good bowling performance. Ansari at times pitched too short but he nabbed Buttler with a beauty.

Finally, thanks to JimBob for the thread and an excellent call by him on the Surrey eleven for this game.

What a win..............again! If only we could conjure up a CC win against the odds like we seem to do in the T20!

We play Somerset in a 4 dayer in Cider country next month. Tin hats for all then, me thinks!
