SURREY VS SOMERSET T20 VITALITY BLAST SEMI FINAL FINALS DAY
Surrey have named a 15 man squad for the semi final against Somerset at Edgbaston on Saturday 15th July starting at 2.30pm.
Ben Foakes and Dan Worrall miss out again.
West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has ruled himself out of this weekend’s Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston. The West Indies spinner is currently in the US, where he is representing the LA Knight Riders franchise in the MLC.
Tom Curran returns to the squad after missing the quarter final due to a hamstring issue.
Should the weather disrupt play on Saturday, there is a reserve day on Sunday 16th June.
Sky Sports cricket will be showing the game live.
Full Squad:
Chris Jordan (c)
Sean Abbott
Gus Atkinson
Josh Blake
Jordan Clark
Sam Curran
Tom Curran
Laurie Evans
Will Jacks
Tom Lawes
Dan Moriarty
Jamie Overton
Jason Roy
Jamie Smith
Cam Steel
The decision to leave your best wicketkeeper behind is baffling to say the least, smith has been poor behind the stumps in this competition and most times doesn't even bat.
If it was me it would be TC in for Narine and Clark in for the awful Atkinson, but sadly I only TC as the only change to the quarter final line up.
Over to you chaps

Somerset have a squad of 16, with the main news being the return of van der merwe.
Banton, Smeed, Kohler-Cadmore, Abell, Dickson, Lammonby, Gregory, Green, Overton, van der merwe, Henry, Sodhi, Goldsworthy, Aldridge, Bashir, Brooks
I'd predict Lammonby, Goldsworthy, Bashir and Brooks to miss out, plus one of VDM or Sodhi

Bashir instead of Aldridge and Sodhi over vdm, so bringing in the extra front line spinner for a seamerAfro wrote:Somerset have a squad of 16, with the main news being the return of van der merwe.

Great bowling and fielding performance from Surrey there
We didnt really have the answers to it, so now we are left hoping we can produce something similar

Well done Somerset, sadly, the thick brain-dead 'superstar' Surrey batsmen couldn't fathom out that this pitch isn't a road, despite watching Somerset struggle on the exact same one, no responsibility again, it wasn't even a game it was so one sided

Awful yet again. Apart from the Lancs game we must have lost about 5 of our last 6. Heads should roll!!

Think the pitch has got harder with each innings being played on it.
We arent scoring heavily again, but happy we are batting first, as could be harder again for Essex

A belated but genuine many congratulations to Afro and Somerset for winning the T20 Blast. Consistently the best team in this format and deserved winners.
