Zimbabwe win historic 2nd Test
Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 26 runs in Harare.
Tendai Chatara takes his maiden Test 5 wicket haul
Zimbabwe's 11th Test victory and first against a major Test nation since 2001.
But for Brendan Taylor's absence in the 1st Test, Zimbabwe would've won the series 2-0.
Future looks bright for Zimbabwe.

Yeah they played good solid coherent cricket. Some good players in that side, they could develop into a decent side IMO.
A shame the game is still in such a mess there though...

Re: Zimbabwe win historic 2nd Test
well done Zimbabwe.
they were in with a shout in T1....until Younis shut them out....but they indeed nailed it today.
that Pak was batting last means the pressure is magnified........on the team batting 4th.
anbd Finally these shocking upsets "against the odds" are more likely to happen in Pakistan international games then involving other sides

Perhaps that Pakistan are the most mercurial side in world cricket, unbeatable one moment, no-hopers in the next?alfie wrote:What on earth are you suggesting , KPf ?KP_fan wrote:well done Zimbabwe.

Re: Zimbabwe win historic 2nd Test
But that takes nothing away from Zimbabwe. It was an excellent performance from them. Hopefully the board is able to sort out the financial issues and keep the players happy and the system well-maintained. Even without the recently retired young seamer Kyle Jarvis, Zimbabwe do have a decent seam bowling unit in Chatara, Vitori, the younger Masakadza and Panyangara. Tino Mawoyo has a solidity oriented game, and Hamilton Masakadza and skipper Taylor are quite capable bats. A decent support system and regular opportunities should see Zimbabwe further developing as a test side. Would do the game of cricket a lot of good, but anyone really care?

yes that is a nicer plausible explanation of what I could have meantmsp83 wrote:Perhaps that Pakistan are the most mercurial side in world cricket, unbeatable one moment, no-hopers in the next?alfie wrote:What on earth are you suggesting , KPf ?KP_fan wrote:well done Zimbabwe.
