Big Films That Haven't Made It To TV Empty Big Films That Haven't Made It To TV

This has been bugging me for a while now and i want to get if off my chest.

Why haven't some of the big popular films been shown on tv?
The Hunger Games - Never been on Sky or terrestrial tv
The last 2 Twilight films - Never been on Sky or terrestrial tv
The Dark Knight - Had a very short run on Sky but has never been shown on terrestrial tv (that i can think of)

Can anyone think of more and why is this?

Well the reason why ITV has not shown any of these is because someone there has Hot Fuzz stuck playing on a loop. Laugh Wink

To be honest I prefer Hot Fuzz on a loop to most of those.

I'd imagine Hunger Games may be on a channel at some point in the next couple of weeks with the second movie due out

Do tv stations have to pay to show these movies on their channels ? if so maybe the film companies want too much money ?

There's a reason why The Twilight films aren't on TV: They're rubbish.

There is also likely to be lack of demand because all the teenage girls would have bugged their parents to get them the entire set on Blu-Ray; now it's all over no-one cares.

Some of them haven't been out long enough and some of the more popular films get an extended run on DVD before the production company let it go to tv showing.

Also Netflix etc may have some of these ties down to exclusivity deals.

Pretty sure that the Twighlight films have been on Channel 4 or Film 4
