Italy vs Argentina Empty Italy vs Argentina

I am watching the game, it is quite clear that Argentina is trying to play expansively and Italy just want to stick to their strengths.

Italy got two penalties and Argentina just managed to score a try.

Score 7-6 to Argentina.

Argentina are quite naive in defence and attack. Quick tap there when they had a chance to go back ahead- then kick the ball away one phase later. And the penalty count is unacceptable. I think the new coach has a lot of work to do.

Italy's line out is very poor, they have lost about 4 line outs on their throw now, and their scrum isn't going much better, 2 tight heads against them

Only thing keeping Italy in this game is the ill discipline from Argentina

I'd like to see Pablo Matera and Santiago Cordero come on in the second half. Two guys who are going to be wearing the Argentina jersey for the next decade of test rugby.

This game isn't pretty but Argentina don't need it to be. They need a win at all costs

(They are still the only ones playing rugby, but if Italy had a top class kicker they might be in serious trouble)

Italy gets a try from a cross kick, knocked by Argentina, three Italians converge on the ball, somehow manages not to knock it forward and scores.

14-13 Italy

Good job from Argentina to set up that drop-goal.

Like I said, they just need to win this game any way they can.

2 very quick penalties blown against Italy at the end, also the penalty from a scrum to give Argentina the lead back was questionable to say the least.

Not sure the better team won here.

I think they did. I think the difference was their 10.

Italy really just lived on some very disappointing Argentine indiscipline.

You'd expect this to have been an awful spectacle. Arg will be happy to get their first win of the season I guess, or is it their second?

Second but first win against a 'Tier 1' nation. Their only other win was against Georgia.

Bets scrummgaing game i have seen for ages.
Ayeza is the best scrummaging loosehead i have seen in a good while, great prop.
Nice to see Castro back in form after a poor season last year. As we all know Castro is a great prop and gave Ayerza a good challenge and got the better a few times but Ayerza was amazing overall.
Nice to see a good scrum after the mess i've been watching with Wales these past few weeks.
