Larry Fitz for me - dominant in the playoffs two years ago and has just carried that form on.

He combines excellent body control and leaping ability with strong and reliable hands, allowing him to win most of his battles when the ball is in the air.

Never mind his hands and agility, Fitz is a physical blocker, which is often overlooked in receivers, especially some of the prima donna's who shy away from contact (TO you listening?).

Fully understand the love for Fitz and accept he probably is the best (which I expect him to prove when the Cards find a decent slinger) but right now I'm gonna say Andre Johnson

I'm gonna break with the trand and say Roddy White. He was outstanding last season while playing on a team with hardly any receiving threats at all. (Don't tell me Gonzalez is still a serious threat, he isn't). White was totally clutch on 3rd down last year and should be even better now that the Falcons have a vertical threat.

For me that's why Fitz is the best. He's put the numbers up whether the has talent around him or not. Given Boldin's relative lack of success in Baltimore, you could argue he actually improves those around him.

Not an angle I'd considered Skins but a good point....

I was gonna go for Mike Wallace or DeSean because they're the ultimate home run threats but I've gone for Fitz.

I'd go for Andre as the best right now, him and Schuab have such a understanding. Fitz plays in NFC West which maybe the weakest division in the league.
Love Megatron thou, look what he did with Hill and Stanton, dudes a beast, in a year or two i'd imagine he'll be the best in the biz.

Johnson is All Pro, no one else is in his class, if he plays long enough he could beat Rice records.

I would have put Brandon Lloyd on the list, he's clearly not the best but he put up the best numbers last season so should be at least in consideration. I voted Megatron, toss up between him and Andre Johnson.

Brandon Lloyd has had one season of good numbers, catching a lot of his passes in junk time when the Broncos were far behind and airing it out.

Lloyd was dire until he got to the rarefied air of Denver, and the Raiders all but shut him down.

Lets be honest, never mind who we like, this is a two horse race. And boy can these guys race!

I see what you mean but you don't get numbers like he did just because of junk time, yes he was terrible before last season and that's why I wouldn't have him number one or top 5. I can definitely see why he's not on there though and I am a little biased.

No, but I'm saying his number are heavily padded because of that. Don't get me wrong, he's a really good receiver, but isn't as good as the other guys on this list.

Such a tough choice but I'll choose Larry Fitzgerald, been going back and forth between him and Andre Johnson. Think Calvin Johnson could have been up there if Stafford had spent his career healthy.

ive got to go for andre johnson, fitz catches everything thrown at him but johnson has a scary size/speed combination along with good production since he has been in the league. Desean is still my favourite receiver though

I went for AJ as he is my favourite receiver. Fitz and Megatron are a close 2nd and 3rd though. Absolute beasts.

Brandon Marshall has the talent to be up there and maybe even No.1 but he is too inconsistent and bone-headed. This from a huge Broncos fan and former Marshall jersey owner..

As a Denver fan I have to say that I think that Brandon Lloyd is very under-rated. Given he only had one breakout season (as huge as it was). But after watching every Denver game last season i've not seen a receiver in recent years that can get the ball to stick as much as he does. Some of his catches were insane. Hoping he can do it again in 2011.

I am a big Boldin fan as well, although his first year at the Ravens was a disappointment.

I see Megatron becoming No.1 after this season off the back of a healthy season from Stafford and the addition of having Young on the other side. The Lions offense is scary with Pettigrew at TE and Best/Leshoure at RB. Wow.

It's only when I read back through my posts that I notice all of the typos and mistakes!

Don't get me wrong, I think that Moore is a great receiver, but he surrounded by other great receivers such as Colsten, Henderson and Meachem. Amendola has..... Mark Clayton?

He was still open. Look at Steve Smith, he's been a premier receiver in years gone by, but when he's double-teamed like last season, his stats suffered heavily.

Even when Amendola as considered to be the number one receiving threat by the opposition, he still produced. Moore often only has the nickel back covering him.

Didn't Amendola line up mainly in the slot, like Welker? Its harder to double cover a slot receiver because they get 'lost' in the melee inside. IIRC Moore lines up wide.

It is quibbling over details I guess though. Its not like either is going to be voted #1.
