Good read. Toronto are a big story this year though with Defoe signing. Still very much in his pomp, should give a few good seasons and his goals could be key. De Rosario back to finish off his career could be a shot in the arm for the club too.

New York red bulls need to stamp their authority too before the new teams come in to it in the next few years.

Should be exciting season

The structure seems a bit strange, or is it just me.

Could they not play each other team in their conference home and away.

Then the top 2 from each conference play in a semi final.

Or the winnes from each conference play each other in a final.

If everyone played everyone in their conference home and away equal times then the eastern teams would play more games than the west. But an unbalanced schedule works when there's no relegation because it just goes in cycles.

I suppose when this NYC FC team starts they can dump Houston back in the west again, then it'll be 10 and 10. Then they can actually arrange a fair schedule. Play two games vs in conference (18) and two vs the other conference (20). But knowing American sports they'd want teams to have more in conference games rather than more out of conference games.

Go Impact!!!

I went to an Impact game in 2012 and the quality was terrible, with one or two European prima donnas (no British players of note at that time) from both teams just going through the motions.
Hopefully the standard/competitiveness is improving, but that was not a pretty sight.

2012 was the first season in the league. Last year was much better. Finished 5th and in the playoffs. Won the Canada Cup and the top scorer scored 11 more than 2012's top scorer. I like Bernier, Arnaud and Wenger. Also got Ferrari and Nesta at the back. Standard in 2013 was much improved.
