The new series of Game of Thrones would be the best place to start.

Location : Your knuckles whiten on the wheel. The last thing that Julius will feel, your final flight can't be delayed. No earth just sky it's so serene, your pink fat lips let go a scream. You fry and melt, I love the scene.

Banshee season 2 has just started in the US, lots of shagging and fighting in it, and the shagging is with good great looking women.

Don't think it's that good, but it is amusing. And Andre Braugher steals the show as the captain, easily the best character. I prefer Parks and Rec though, now that is genius.

Re: What should I be watching in 2014?
These are some of the new shows i am looking forward to
Mob City - 1940's Mobster series from Frank Darabont (starts this friday on FOX)
True Detective - Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson play two investigators on a hunt for a killer that spans 17 years.
Believe - about a 10 year old girl with supernatural powers who is protected by a ex death row inmate while being hunted by a shady organisation
The Smoke - could be the new Londons Burning ( i used to love that show )
The 100 - Ninety-seven years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilisation, a spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet.
Played - follows the Covert Investigations Unit (CIU), a group of elite Toronto-based undercover police officers who risk their lives to infiltrate criminal organisations. Each week the team take on a new case, quickly crafting and executing "plays" to bring down their targets. ( starts friday on 5USA )
Helix - A team of scientists from the Centres for Disease Control travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind's salvation or total annihilation. (starts monday channel 5 )
Fortitude - follows the events of a previously tranquil Arctic town after a murder shocks the close-knit community and sets in motion a compelling hunt for the killer.
and 2 others we should get sometime this year
Gracepoint - US version of Broadchurch
Intelligence - Lost's Josh Holloway returns in this high-tech thriller playing a spy with a computer chip in his brain

Re: What should I be watching in 2014?
To be honest, I just read the TV schedule every week and pick out the programmes that look to be of interest.
There are some cracking dramas around, but the best ones are "one offs" rather than franchises. The best British crime dramas have either passed their sell by date (Silent Witness) and are becoming more and more predictable although the plots are more and more farfetched, or the truly good ones (for example: Wire in the Blood, Waking the Dead) have ended.
I recently watched The Bridge 2 on BBC4, which was (in my opinion) a cracking view, with genuinely quirky characters, believable baddies and a solid, realistic storyline.
On the downside, Sherlock is tosh, Dr Who has become wrist-cuttingly bad and as for Atlantis.... Oh, myyyyy gooooooooood.
Now the BBC have come up with The Musketeers. With Auntie Beeb's recent calamitous adaptations of historical stories, Alexander Dumas must be spinning in his shroud.
If you have Sky movies though (and I know a movie isn't exactly TV, but then again, it is) I thoroughly recommend the Sky Premier of Hitchcock, with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren. Superb. Quality roles for quality actors and a highly enjoyable film all round.

Saw Hitchcock on the plane when going on holiday in the summer. It was so good I also watched it a fortnight later flying back! Brilliant film with several outstanding performances. As well as Hopkins and Mirren, thought James D'Arcy excelled in the role of Anthony Perkins. Probably helps if you're an old git like me and Lion with a bit of knowledge of Hitchcock's Psycho but would still strongly recommend to all.

Re: What should I be watching in 2014?
I've just been introduced to a new TV show called 'True Detective' starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Synopsis as follows:The lives of two detectives, Rust Cohle and Martin Hart, become entangled during a 17-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana.
Only watched the first episode but it had me gripped from the beginning. Check it out.
I'm also waiting in anticipation for the second series of 'Hannibal' to begin. I loved the first one. Madds Mikkelsen is frighteningly good.
I can't stop watching 'Archer' (Animated version). It's hilarious. Season 5 has just started. Let's head into the 'Danger Zone'.

I'd tend to avoid Hostages and Intelligence as neither is likely to be getting a second season. Thats only if you don't like the thought of one season shows

Try Hinterland. Crime drama set in the Cambrians. It was originally on S4C but the beeb have commissioned it. There's only 1 episode left I think but they're all on iplayer. Better than Silent witness imo...

I 'downloaded' it compelling. Watched the second episode this week, one of the strong points about this aside from the really strong leads is that it's so atmospheric. You really get a feel for that deep south backwards bayou mentality.
I haven't watched any of Season 5 of Archer yet Bull. I'm going to 'download' it and watch it with the missus because she loves Archer.

Re: What should I be watching in 2014?
Jim on being asked by Big Brother who he would rather have sex with "Linda or Liz?" "Being a happily married man I am not interested in having sex with Linda or Liz", he replies. "If you put a gun to my head" he continues (and then pauses for a moment as if deciding) "I'd pull the trigger!"
He's been brilliant. And pretty restrained in dealing with most of what he has had to endure from Linda and Luisa in my opinion.

She has beautiful eyes and when she does that slow sexy languid blink I have to have a quick check to make sure my wife doesn't see me drooling at the telly.
My only concern is that I'm now watching "The Voice" so I can get another glimpse of her
