Disappointing numbers considering it was hyped a lot with the HBO face off and 24/7.

Just shows the drawing power of Pac and Floyd.

A Cotto rematch with either would add another 1,000,000 PPV's on top.

Decent figures between a PR and Argy.....Shows the strength of the latino market....

Cotto-Martinez was meant to be a mismatch one has to remember........and both were non-Mexican..

Also both meant to be relatively faded forces despite the pre-fight hype...not bad for a couple of has-beens

I believe it's been labelled a disappointment for HBO and Promoters for the promotion made and guaranteed purses etc.

Cotto is still a huge name in boxing and always a big draw in New York. I wasn't expecting Martinez to bring in huge buys.

I'm not sure what the price was but if $50 that's over $17m plus gate receipts so good business but underachieved for them.

I wouldn't have watched Curry vs Nunn live If I'd had to pay for it or not................

To be honest before the fight my hope was that Cotto would make it to the 12th. 2 minutes in, I'm thinking 'uckinell, have I flown this far for one round?!'

Not bad but Canelo-Angulo and Chavez-Martinez did better, obivously the mexican market is still a lot stronger than the puerto rican atm

Bit harsh dee. He fought a few guys , mayweather, manny etc who weren't cripples. As digger says, I think we can forgive him for margarito and foreman's long standing knee problem had never impacted his performance before... And didn't in the fight until it suddenly went.

Martinez debate has been done to death.

Wasn’t Cottos fault Martinez opted to fight with a gammy leg. Cotto was the one targeted by Martinez because he could sell tickets and they were hoping he would be too small and too past it to be able to beat an unfit Martinez. Its Sergio who deserves the stick for that fight.

Not that I've seen. Rumours are they weren't good, hence the reticence releasing them - even Fat Dan hasn't got his grubby mits on them and he's usually pretty reliable!

Yeh, low for a Floyd fight will still mean at least double Cotto-Martinez.

But being the biggest star in the sport means anything sub-1m will look 'bad'.

my worries are that sergio will make a return as a lot of his money from that fight was linked to PPV sales
