Cant see her having the game to beat Maria yet unfortunately. Her better chance was on the clay. Think she will be a bit over-powered on the grass.

I'm a big fan of Kevin Anderson, he's been a very good player representing South Africa, but he'll need a miracle to beat Murray on centre court.

Ah Shazza, the most overrated sportsperson in the world. Pre-injury - brilliant. Post-injury - nahhhhhhhhhhhh. I don't know where that screech came from but she didn't have it when she started!!

Organisers must be praying Isner doesn't win the obvious tiebreak at the end of this fourth set. This has Isner-Mahut 2 all over it.

Are you sure? I have a memory of it from the juniors. Think she looked very very good against Riske. I don't see who (bar probably Lisicki) can stop her here.

She has bagelled and breadsticked her way till now, but Kerber is no push over compared to Riske, Murray and Bacsinszky.

It seems worse these days than it was. I was watching highlights of the Wimbledon final she won 10 years ago and there's barely a squeak out of her.
Lisicki can definitely stop her because she's beaten her here before but, more importantly, Sharapova is reigning French Open champion and they don't beat Lisicki here!!

I was thinking exactly the same. Big problem as its a delayed R3 match - if they go over into a second day, the schedule will be well and truly screwed.

Kevin Anderson's so tall he has to stand on a chair to comb his hair.

Great win for Lopez and in the end not an overly long or arduous match. Tough match to call versus Stan.

well done feliciano!
continuing his great grass season
dont know what his chances are against wawrinka as the swiss is such a mistery this season
their head to head is quite balanced, but with stan a little better

Lopez. Wawrinka up next for him. Hope Wawrinka gets a better workout than Istomin (injured).

Good first set for Murray.
Anderson needs to read that serve out wide to the FH a bit better.

I think Lopez can take Wawrinka. He's playing well and has a better grass court pedigree than Stan.

agreed that he needs to do something about it, either step a bit closer to the baseline to cut off the angle (and slice) or take a step accross to his FH side (though that could be dangerous as Murray hits the big serve down the middle pretty well).

Murray creating plenty of BP chances, but not taking them. 1 from 9 BPs...

Henman bringing up the best volleyer in the top 100 debate again!

Re: Wimbledon Day 7.... or 8?
finally on his 11th BP (and 7th of the game) Anderson surprisingly tries a S&V but plays an awful volley which drifts long, wide and not very handsome, and Murray does have the early break.

BHDL, thing of beauty. Anderson leaning towards his BH corner, looking for the run aroung FH, nowhere near it...

Re: Wimbledon Day 7.... or 8?
Murray making 75% of service returns, it feels a bit higher actually. Anderson stuck in the 50's, and three more unreturned serves give Murray some breathing space.

If Andy wins this in 3 does this mean he still hasn't been tested?

Re: Wimbledon Day 7.... or 8?
Anderson in seemingly little danger as he goes up 40-15, but his first serve deserts him, Murray all over the second serve like a rash there, and takes the next four points to seal the double-break.

Re: Wimbledon Day 7.... or 8?
I would normally say that break point conversion percentage isn't too important against a guy like Anderson but when you're playing someone like Dimitrov in the next round who has Anderson's serve and better groundies (plus he moves better), it's more important.

If this rain can carry on for the rest of the day and they can put Nadal last on Court 1 tomorrow with rain all day until 5, I'd appreciate that

Scary good from Murray. Not even really got out of 2nd gear and just taking apart one of the best servers in the draw. Only concern is the rain delay might knock him out of his stride but getting the 2nd break should allow him to ease back in.

it's looking a bit healthier at 3 from 12 to be fair. I think Dimitrov's serve isn't quite as good as Anderson, mostly because he's shorter so can't make the awkward angles that Anderson can.

Dimitrov tends to have brain farts on BPs.
I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Anderson well on the way from being a really tough test of Andy's game, to being a no hoper journeyman with no grass court pedigree.

get with the times, the correct term is "grasscourt walkover"

He has raw pace on it though, I've seen him hit 140mph at Queen's a few times (although the speed gun was dodgy there to say the least - it registered a Murray second serve at 150mph...). The more I think about it though, Murray doesn't mind a bit of pace on the opponent's serve.

I've never seen it happen myself. Seems unfair on those who had the tickets to watch that particular match on the court it was originally on.

Well Anderson is 17/15 on grass.
Least he is better than Baguette on grass.

meanwhile Dimitrov is not exactly in total control against Leo Mayer (grasscourt record, 6-11), having won the first set, but the second set with serve at 6-5.

From the BBC -
Following the exit of John Isner at the hands of Feliciano Lopez, there are no American men or women in the round of 16 at Wimbledon for the first time since 1911.

I did like how Sue said it to him quite reassuringly
I am glad Mac gave the answer it deserved:

Queen's = All 4 majors rolled into one. It means Murray is sitting with Sampras on 14
