According to BBC radio he has pulled out of tonights fight against ustinov

Injury related?

I thought Fury would fight anyone anywhere?!

Just read on a forum his uncle Hughie Fury has supposedly taken ill and has been brought to hospital.

Tyson Fury pulls out of fight with Alexander Ustinov

Tyson Fury has withdrawn from Saturday night's heavyweight fight with Belarusian Alexander Ustinov.

The Manchester fighter pulled out of the bout after his uncle and first trainer Hughie fell seriously ill and was taken to hospital.

Promoter Frank Warren, who had already seen Fury's initial opponent Dereck Chisora withdraw due to injury, said: "I'm very, very, disappointed."

Warren added that Fury would now fight Chisora at a later date.

What an odd promotion.

On the one hand it's quite odd, on the other it's Fury we're talking about and he's been messed about 3 times through other people's injury. He might have just flipped a little and walked out, it doesn't take much if he's walking a knife edge.

Not sure you can complain that he has pulled out due a family illness, up to you whether you believe the "I'll fight anyone anywhere" comments.

So I have heard. Rumour has it that because he us the first decent fighter he has faced who is comparable in terms of size, he has pulled out.

He man handles fighters to get a win (look at Cunningham who was whooping his Irish behind until he got a forearm choke and a punch).

Ustinov not white as easy.

Could be anything, if uncle Fury passes during the night I will stand corrected but if its a minor issue then Fury has used this as a reason to duck the fight.

Frazier could have pulled out of the rumble in the Jungle 3 being blind in one eye but he did'nt.

Wasn't Hearns' bro arrested for killing a woman in his house before the Leonard rematch? Granted he was probably bringing in a lot more cash for that fight...

Didn't Fury fight without Uncle Fury for the Cunningham fight due to a lack of Visa?

Granted that was a situation which they knew about and doesn't involve an illness but, as OneTwo says, unless it's life threatening it seems to lack a bit of credibility. As harsh as that sounds.....

Why did Fury look so fat in the weigh in for ustinov? A 4 month training cam and he was still overweight.

More interesting, in that article (if true), is that Frank is saying the Chis clash was meant to be a 'final eliminator' for Wlad.

Didn't think/realise that was the case....

Believe it was an eliminator for the WBO toppy. Not sure it was initially, but got upgraded somewhere along the line, probably when only 14 tickets had been sold.

Warren+WBO=makes sense.
