Looks strong, Kane and the FBs stand out a bit to me (though I can emphasize with FBs)

I really like Kane tbh and think he'd partner well with Tevez though I can appreciate your take on it. Yes FBs are my next area to work on certainly.

Id be tempted to get a Henderson/Guarin figure in midfield and drop Kane for 3 in midfield

Any thoughts on mine? I am in two minds at the mo to go with that or sell one of Nainggolan or de Rossi?

I have two TP targets which could mean a formation change.

Lacks width Imo and not sure you have the CMs to effectively balance the need to pull wide and be effective centrally. Nain would do, not sure De Rossis best served

Id sell Ledesma honestly Twist. Play a couple wingers or a get a ball playing CM so creative from deep too to accompany Radja/De Rossi with Totti ahead

so maybe 4-3-1-2

Bit contradictory isn't it Nando. Ledesma seems a pretty good option for that type or role, short of getting a Pirlo/Xavi/Alonso type

See that's what I thought but keep second guessing myself I understand what has been said about width though. I thought the type of FB's I had will cover it, but obviously not.

I played that formation for most of last seasons.

My Cms were Henderson/Delph/Diame mind

The style you are trying to play is similar to how I like to set up


With the three CMs allowing my FBs to bomb on at will, and my two wingers to play closer to the striker in freer roles.

Anyway, any feedback on mine.

Tbh I hadn't looked at Nandos.

Personally for me, if you don't play wingers, the CNs have to play as semi wingers or you get exposed

Also, if you are playing a formation where your FBs are bombing on, then you need more mobile players at CB and DM to cover the space.

Ledesma isn't mobile enough and nor is Dante, so you would definately need your ??? CB to be

I guess my CBs were fairly mobile. Never was a priority for me, I had CMs that would run for days and Behrami roaming

Yeah, didn't mean all of them. As long as you 1 or 2 or could cover the ground, which you more than did with Behrami Delph, Henderson and Diame.

Now your midfield is less so, but your two CBs are both quick and mobile

Anyway, any thoughts on mine - either the one I just put up, or the slightly different formation I posted yesterday.

I'm just wondering Afro, because Gerrard and Matic usually sit back more okay sometimes They both get forward but not as much as Gerrard used to, who will be the one going forward if any and pushing on?

GSC - your formation is pretty similar to mine really. Just I have put my 3 CMs on the same line and you have put them over two!

Miky - Matic and Gerrard will sit deep, and Grenier will be the box to box player. My FBs will be as much attackers as defenders though, and my "wingers" will therefore be able to be closer to Kruse, so hopefully that is where the creativity will come from

I agree that I think De Rossi and Naingolan are a bit too similar. Roma are playing one of them, but not both from what I have seen.

Not sure about Musa as an AM, always had him down as a winger or striker. Plays wide a lot to my knowledge.

Like the midfield two.

Backup: Speroni GK, Fonte CB, Flanagan RB/LB, Kehl/Keita DM, Holtby/Bakkali RW/LW, Origi CF

I'd say your best bet is to improve the CF. Eto'o is still good but he probably sits deeper behind a main forward now.

That and the midfield 2 feels a bit lightweight to me

Clasie isn't lightweight at all. Although you must mean I have two technical players and no brutal enforcer in there.

More that Pirlo in a midfield 2 would worry me somewhat. In todays game you kinda need mobile CMs to play 2 in the middle imo

I'd say Clasie brings a bit of both the enforcer and the passer. He is equally good at both imo, although not top drawer in either.

Rough idea to what I will play at the minute. I imagine people will say i can be got at down the flanks, but with guarin and a another might be able to combat that. Look to use Meyer/Gio as Support strikers/AM's

Id probably make a new striker a priority with Adebayor buggering off home

He's on my list to replace!

It's not really a midfield 2 though.

It depends on who the TBA are to be honest. Your team so far looks solid, I'd look to improve Wolf and Kishna though. Gundogan, Carvajal and Kießling all good starting points.

Nando
Very good defensively, I think your midfield lacks something. I'd be tempted to play 4-4-2 flat with Krychowiak and Alonso CM.

GSC
Very good team, the wingers are probably the weakest aspect. Also careful with Mascherano as he's more of a CB these days. Having Pjanic and Costa in your attack will give some managers headaches.

Twist
I'd consider dropping Ledesma, de Rossi and Nianggolan are capable of sorting your midfield. Maggio could do with an upgrade.

Hero
I think you need a defensive midfielder in there. Some kind of 4-1-4-1/4-3-3 something like that would be quality and allow Fabregas-Calhanoglu more freedom. Not sure about Kane-Tevez upfront, RB is a weakness for sure.

Sodhat
Goalkeeper and left-back are the obvious weaknesses. I'd maybe think about Schone as well, who is okay but not brilliant. Musa generally plays out wide, agree with Marky.

Marky
Your full backs look a bit weak, I'd improve them straight away and then probably Townsend and Sigurdsson. Eto'o has still got the finishing ability and getting the tactics right would be key.

Fluxy
All depends on the ?. Adebayor and Mexes are the immediate weaknesses that I see. I like Giovani and Meyer behind the striker.

Afro
I like Grenier higher up, I'd go for more of a 4-2-3-1 and have Gerrard and Matic sitting deep. The defense looks solid, Kruse isn't the best though IMO and I've never heard of your keeper.

Brought in Rafinha now at RB to bolster that position

Rafinha was one of my TP targets.

I like Rafinha but he is so attack minded!

Think I would switch Pepe and Subotic around to allow Subotic's pace to help provide cover and definately increases the need for a true holding midfield, and also perhaps a RW who will work a bit harder.

Otherwise with those FBs and your midfield, I could see the CBs being a bit exposed

He's not at the level of someone like Serge Aurier

No he's not on the same level as Aurier. Agreed
