Future GOAT? Empty Future GOAT?

Post by rugbygod2 Mon 02 Mar 2015, 12:46 am

After Borna Coric's scintillating defeat of Andy Murray in Dubai and superb play against Chardy in the Austraian open, I wonder what people though his GOAT prospects were. In my opinion hes surely a future GOAT

You seem to be very persistent about searching for GOATs. This is one of your previous searches - https://www.606v2.com/t57346-future-goat .

If you like Tennis, watch it as a Sport, players come and go.

For example, Dolgopolov had a very good run at AO 2011, Kyrgios AO 2015, W 2014. Baghdatis had a good run at AO 2006, W 2006-2007. Ferrer had a good run at RG 2013.

Looking for a GOAT deters from the sport and each player's contributions to the history of the sport.

Coric future Goat? Nah, more like the great Kyrgios!

Remember,, Kygrios beat a world no,1, Coric only managed to beat world no.3s.

I agree, its unlikely we will have Federer or a Nadal level player for quite some time. That doesn't mean that other players can't bring great things to the game.

Nice play tbh, but can you really call this guy a future GOAT after playing one point? His movement seemed hesitant and I think you'd have to have question marks over his power. Indeed Coric has actually managed to win multiple games against Federer.  Personally I don't think this guy will go anything like as far Coric, who is much better in all aspects of play than this guy, as we saw in his Australian Open performance against Chardy. Good to see another potential future GOAT though, Dimitrov, being so humble. He really does show all the attributes of a champion, both physically and mentally.
