Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
So Fed gets the honor to open up the 2015 RG on Chatrier for Men.
Add to it his Illuminati sponsored easy draw, one has to ask does it ever end for this big nosed messiah?![Laugh](/users/3014/26/22/82/smiles/810156456.jpg)
Some good matches to see how the clay at RG is playing after Fed's comments, including, Stan, Tsonga, Ninja, all big hitters.
Match of the day Ivo-Baghdatis, hope baggy has brought enough racquets with him.
Let the games begin.

He's got granollers next up too quite likely. This isn't as spongy as I've been led to beleive

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Last time he was in Rd 1 against Falla he went two sets down and had to break serve to stay in the event.

In the non-Novak half of the draw I will be rooting for Foggy and Nishi. I feel they play the most enjoyable tennis to watch out of all the players in that half.

ITV poll 37% think Nadal will win the FO. Would've thought it would be more.

Fed struggling on his serve early but holds.

Fed looking fairly rubbish in rallies. He can still end them well but against any 'wall' he'd be in a right mess already.

BB, agree. Very ordinary and insecure in rallies. Hopefully he improves along the way.

You can't serve your way to the French Open.
By the way, which perv decided the ball girls outfit?

Fed not looking particularly impressive but takes the first set relatively easily anyway.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
The main aim is survival and Fed would hope to crank it up through the gears as the tournament goes on. A straight sets win is what is always the aim in these First Rounders to keep energy in the tank for later and that looks on the cards for Fed today.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Wawrinka likewise, won the first set by virtue of one service break against the Turk.. but somewhat unconvincingly.. seems happy to use it as a practise session..thus a very boring match

Fed 2 sets up, not bad to loosen up, but the court looks like mud, balls barely going.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Stan has already broken in the 3rd and is serving for 3-1
Get it over with Stan..its so booooooooooooring.
The downside of a GS just has to be.. a lopped sided match and you have to suffer three sets instead of two![Tumbleweed](/users/3014/26/22/82/smiles/1041648606.gif)

It's 1st week. The matches with big guys are rarely good contests in the first week. The good matches at this point are to be found lower down the rankingd

The thing is though ..where I am at least.. I don't get a choice in what is available to view.. I would have thought I might have got the Fed match but ??

Yeah, agree. I usually go to the USO during the first weekend - 3rd round maybe - and even then I find that the most interesting matches usually involve lower seeds.

They probably do not have Eurosport in Canada. Here in the US they show it on ESPN3. I am surprised Canada would not have something similar.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Im watching ESPN1 ..but you get no choice of matches.. Should I complain, there are times when they don't show anything at all and when they do they switch it off half way through a match.. what Canadian was it that said to me they thought that SPAIN was a third world country...?????

Canada should have TSN, IIRC, or ESPN3 may also work, using your ISP subscription.

HN, have you tried espn3 in Canada?
In the US, it comes under this link:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index
Also, when I type "espn3" into my browser, it directs me there automatically.
